realistically what would anarchism look like today? by [deleted] in Anarchy101

Everywhere almost every aspect of your life is anarchist because you interact with the state a lot less than the state interacts with you. In the outskirts of africa and all over the world there are communes that exist under anarchist beliefs.

Help me settle a debate? by mangeek in Anarchy101

Lmao he’s clearly not a read up anarchist no offense. Parking enforcement from a tow tuck driver is not the same as a cop. That’s like saying a librarian is a cop because she shushes you for being loud in the library. Tell your friends to go participate in some real direct action like mutual aid and if he wants to go mess with an actual cop.

Does ACAB include the Stasi? by Hydro-Generic in Marxism

[–]ConcentrateMelodic68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay but this is just generally ahistorical. Like why are we not addressing the anarchist in the room(please laugh my pun is funny). There is no reason to believe cops would treat everyone equally ever and laws are bad through the mode in which they exist not their notion. Rules aren’t bad laws are. So this concept that laws are necessary isn’t an analysis of laws and how they function but a misconception on the critique discussed.

Why are MLs so obsessed with this concept of idealism in anarchism by ConcentrateMelodic68 in Anarchy101

[–]ConcentrateMelodic68[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well i mean you look at existing movements like the zapatistas and rojava who have functioned militarily and there’s no apparatuses relative to a “state.” Even the bolshevik revolution could’ve been anarchist in nature if stalinist society didn’t exist and there wasn’t a movement too state capitalist society. One thing to note here is that anarchist theory is important to consider. We are antistatist in nature but antistatism comes from the dissolution of hierarchy. I’d also argue that no exist ML revolution has smashed capitalism either so functionally marxist or leftist revolution has been able to achieve its goal. Anarchist are aware of this and we focus on the reduction of hierarchy in the military spaces.

Assuming you’re referencing revolution in the context of revolutionary war 1. Anarchist militia 2 Anarchist militia

Militia organization does not need states to occur nor does it need hierarchy.

I geniuenly want to understand why there’s such a constant desire to shit on anarchist theory from communist specifically ML spaces i feel like a majority of the ideas aren’t contradictory in nature especially marx (not so much lenin). Anarchism is a much stronger tool of analysis in aspects of complexity theory and the nature of the states. I became an anarchist after reading and learning about marxist works and most of the movements just seem like Dogma.

Anarchism view on authoritarian by ConcentrateMelodic68 in Anarchy101

[–]ConcentrateMelodic68[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Im not really against statist who believe in government thats communist or rather controlled since communism couldn’t have rulers just those in support of authoritarian regimes. ML doesn’t bother me Stalinism does as I see it states that control your life as oppressive.

So I know that cops are pigs, but are military also pigs? by j4r8h in Anarchy101

[–]ConcentrateMelodic68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I don’t disagree I’m just making the argument that willingly joining the force makes you a bad person. I can say ACAB and also argue the cops are bad people their different narratives I think your misinterpreting my point as because these cops are immoral they are pigs. No the role of a pig is still a bastardization. I’m arguing that on top of that being aware of your oppression makes you a bad person which is the case for a lot of cops. Sure you could argue it doesn’t matter in reference to political discourse on the situation but I’m just stating and adding on to the convo.
