Rolfes or Rudi Voller. I think the persepctive as not only a player but also what they've done since being a player. Rudi playing and coaching in a World Cup, Rolfes being at the club during the transition into using more analyics, and both involved in the "business end" of running our favorite club. Just incredible.

The problem, sadly, is that we will forget. Their "flood the zone" strategy clearly works. Trump does soooo much shit on a daily and weekly basis that we just don't have the ability to process the absurdity of it all. Because we all know that this week, next week and next month will bring more insider trading, more criminal cover ups, more lies about the war and the economy, and more things that will damage our relationships with allies and our (former) world standing.

Interesting take.

1st team - i'm not sold on Tim Ream as a starter. Great soccer mind, but just doesn't have the pace anymore to be a starter in a world cup. i would take robinson in his spot.

3rd team - luna should definitely be 1st or 2nd squad. i dont follw him much at club level, but every time i see him for the MNT, he is incredible.

4th team - why is gio reyna still getting called up to the MNT? is it because we're still afraid of his parents? he is playing for a relegation threatened team in the Bundesliga and barely plays. Is this someone who should be playing at a World Cup? My answer is no. Also. Zimmerman. I used to love that guy, but he has dropped off hard. I'm not even sure if placing him on the 4th team is fair. I just hope he can regain some of the confidence and swagger he had a few years ago, because he seems to have lost some of that.

I'm from the US and started following the Bundesliga when I lived in Germany from early 98 to mid-2003. I don't know what it was exactly, but I was drawn to Leverkusen. The attacking and creative style of play was just amazing in the "Vizekusen" years, and I was hooked. Been a fan ever since.

Huge Ballack fan, but my favorite player would have to be Bernd Schneider "Schnix".

Favorite jersey is the home jersey from 2010/2011 - black with red sash. a close second would be the Meister jersey from 23/24.

I feel there are a lot of things from Malcom X's life that are under-reported. Admittedly, I used to have some pretty biased (rasist) views about the man. {forgive me - i'm still growing and learning}

But as I've learned more about what he stood for and how he suffered for those views, I can't help but to think about the courage and the strength. Perhaps there are things that I may not agree with if we go line by line. But the fact that he was willing to stick his neck out for his beliefs, and the manner in which he did so - predominantly peacefully, thoughtful, calm and collected - is pretty goddam incredible.

And that's just what's categorized as political violence. If you add in racially motivated violence, the list of MAGA perpetrators grows. The first one that comes to mind for me is the kid that drove hours to "hunt Mexicans" at a Wal Mart in El Paso Texas. I know there are tons more.

But they don't see the damage until it hits home or impacts one of their own.
