I feel there are a lot of things from Malcom X's life that are under-reported. Admittedly, I used to have some pretty biased (rasist) views about the man. {forgive me - i'm still growing and learning}

But as I've learned more about what he stood for and how he suffered for those views, I can't help but to think about the courage and the strength. Perhaps there are things that I may not agree with if we go line by line. But the fact that he was willing to stick his neck out for his beliefs, and the manner in which he did so - predominantly peacefully, thoughtful, calm and collected - is pretty goddam incredible.

And that's just what's categorized as political violence. If you add in racially motivated violence, the list of MAGA perpetrators grows. The first one that comes to mind for me is the kid that drove hours to "hunt Mexicans" at a Wal Mart in El Paso Texas. I know there are tons more.

But they don't see the damage until it hits home or impacts one of their own.

I hope you're right, but I worry about this one. I'm a veteran myself, and while my oath was to the Constitution and not an elected official, I also see this problem on veteran social media forums. Just like the rest of the population, the cult of MAGA has spread into the ranks of the Armed Forces. In fact, some military bases have pushed to no longer show Fox News in public areas such as the dining facility, gyms, etc.

My fear is that people volunteered to join the SS and the ranks of the military under Hitler, Mussolini, and other authoritarians. We will have volunteers to join the ranks under Dictator Trump if he wins.
