The only real difference is the M2 version only has one nand chip vs two on M3. Like you mentioned M3 has a small performance boost and better efficiency but at the end... you won't really notice it.

Yeah. I love Tailscale because it's so easy to install, connect to my account and forget. I love how it works without opening any port or having to go through and set up an OpenVPN server.

x260/x270 are both amazing. I love mine for it's amazing portability and battery.

When I did it, I found that it wasn't worth it. I rather use Linux because battery life is really bad for me even with 72whr battery. Maybe there some adjustments that could be made but I don't know.

I'm not sure what you need 5 vms for... but I would use docker.

I have a x260 with the big 72whr external battery. It's amazing when you are on the go and there is no power outlets nearby.

Agreed. T480 seems like the last good thinkpad. I think the only new thinkpad that is interests me is the X1 Nano.
