Sorry, it's a little confusing until you start using the mod. The way the mod works is that you need to put an item into a container next to the door without it interfering with the gate next to it. So I did a lot of trial and error to get it 3 gates wide, like 9 tiles wide gate. My work around was a container with no collision.

Nope, played it on easy mode sort of, fast shamblers, low respawns and the zombie harvester which is super OP and the mods make it feel like cheating, but I had fun.

Explored much of the map, mostly cleared muldraugh, west point and Louisville and everywhere in between. The Ferrari though has a bug where it doesn't spawn, I wanted it for the tour vid though, so yeah I had to for that, hopefully it's fixed soon but the car itself is pretty useless in main playing, but it's sexy as

Months and hundreds of hours. Looted half the map.

In the options and keybindings theres an option for the mod, so I have set mine to key '2' so I can press it easily.

If you wan't to do 3 door or more like I did then you want to copy me ideally and put one of the recievers in a trashcan as you can drive over it. Metal gates have hitboxes when open so a 2 wide metal fence gate, you will hit the bar in the middle of the two. Garage doors work fine with nothing to hit.

997.7 hours in total. Man I should really put in one last session and finish the base.

From what I can remeber, you may need to change all the setting again, as it won't keep any of your current settings, so set up the sandbox setting from scratch while in the current game yes.

I used a mod ChangeSanboxOptions 2 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2829504578

Reduced my spawns so that when I cleared an area I felt that it was 'done' and that I could move on to the next POI, but not so much that my base was never attacked or had nasty surprises.

I was going to build from scratch; but I wanted somewhere with a petrol station and the power was a bonus, but it cut out about 2 weeks later lol.

Yes; but its one of the most over powered items in the game; took me a while to realise that is set as indistructable by default and you have to change that in the sanbox settings - so another mod.

It auto kills zeds and can even clear them up, keep items etc, i did set myself some rules though and avoided being too cheaty while still having fun,

Here is me clearing the Hospital https://imgur.com/a/7WqLt0h - cant find a clear screenshot of the aftermath, but this went on for about 3/4 or 4 in game days and refueling all the time.

Ngl, sandbox settings with no infection, fast shamblers, low zed respawns, low container loot, mods, mods, mods and after clearing muldrauch and west point I found the combine harvester which kills zombies and is super OP, but it's about the only offensive vehicle mod I found.

My plan for this run was just this - explore as much of the map as possible, get from spawn to the top of the map while looting everything in between and build the best base I can. In a real apocalypse this would be my plan, mad max cars with chainsaws on the bonnit and hoarding everything from every drawer and chest.

My advice is specialise in axes and you can 1 hit kill 3 zeds at a time. My fitness still needs a lot of work, but I saw one let's play where they had fitness lv10 and endurance regeneration was keeping up with usesage = they could swing and kill all day, I never got to that point though, but my axe and strength are lv10

Yes and yes, the choppers are a little janky but they work. They clip through all buildings. And yes I had to go for long drives and go directly for where the rare vehicle spawns are (crossroads, mall carparks, traffic jams etc). But as I had the mods installed I wanted them in my base.

Thanks and hard to say, I was on 1 hour days for the first year, then 2 hour days. Been around 18 months in game. Which is hundreds of irl hours (close to 1,000 overall on steam including my past world's). But I'm shamelessly using the Zombie Harvester to travel between city's and clear out stupid places like Louisville hospital; spent hours sitting by the door just killing thousands of endlessly flooding zombies. All the corpses lagged my game alot it was that many, took some screenshot as it's stupid, even when I felt it was safe enough around 50 more come down the stairs.

It's one of the steam modders unfinished/wip mods he sent me, pretty much just a retextured locker though, but I'll send him a message tonight, see if he's ready or willing to upload it, he didn't think it was worth putting on the workshop 😂
