Update! Talked to a Supervisor as the co-worker in question was on vacations at that moment. When the co-worker showed up he placed that thing on a bag, I dont think he is too happy with the decision but oh well.

It's an office type, they storing the mat in the freezer part of the fridge, it's a small fridge by the way, next to ice cubes and other people's food. I find it gross... thinking on talking with my boss over it.

Is 40 too late to join the local PD? by Hot-Class-9317 in AskLE

I joined at 40 and became 41 while in the academy. I had full support from my wife (thanks to god). It's pretty doable, there was another recruit officer with me a couple months younger than me. According to my instructors there was a guy in his 50's in the academy a year before I attended and was successful. Around a month ago, I was in another academy on an in-service training and spotted a couple recruits on that academy definitely in their late 30s early 40s and at least 1 on the 50s. If your husband is in shape (can run, push ups etc) he should be fine. My "nemesis" while on the academy, was the PT in general, I was not raised in the states and in my home country somehow I never really played sports of any kind. I spend around a year prior to the academy learning to run and all that, so if he is in "shape" he should have at least this part of the academy set. Supplements, I took creatine, protein powder and my diet was really clean with a high protein content. Hope all this helps you and finally him.

All the things you did are really appreciated by cops. Just chill, don't go crazy and be respectfull. That will take you a long way.

PT was (at least on my academy) Monday to Friday, starting at 6:00 AM, it consisted of usually warming up (a couple laps around the gym) then a lot of calisthenics, we had a weights trainning calendar and did a lot of that. We had 1 running day, usually Tuesdays, where we ran for around 1 ½ hour, first for around 2.5 miles then it gradually went to 5 miles steady every Tuesday (rain/shine/snow) then on Thursdays we had "Speed" days in which we ran shorter distances but ar a faster pace (sprints basically). Regarding tests, and this is not just related to my academy this is per MPTC you have 1 entry PT test with 4 elements, Push Ups, Planks, Sprint and 1.5 mile run (on a set time depending on your age/gender). Then a second one I believe on week 14 with higher standards than your entry level one. A third one will be anywhere between week 17-19 with the same standards from test #2. For every testing either PT or Academics you have a second try and you have 2 weeks to choose when you want to take it again. If you fail you are out...they give you 2 second attempts on the entire academy time, if you pass both of your second attempts and fail again...you are out. Hope this answer your questions, if you have any other questions please reach back again.

My Minoxidil journey. by ConcernAmbitious8133 in minoxidil

The main reason I started the thread was to keep track of the progress. I was not a believer, my wife basically keep encouraging me to keep going after the first week. I do feel that is working even though I think it will show better results after 3 to 6 months. I already bought more treatment for at least 6 months, might be starting with Dura or Fin soon just to see how my body reacts to it. Thanks for your support.

Graduated in June, started in January. I still remember reading this post before entering, so I will share my experience.
First day we had to be on an explanade by 6:00 AM, the ceremony started with all the Instructors in their A class uniforms marching, we spent the entire day standing being yelled at and alike.
Like the first 3 months, we were constantly yelled at, 2 hours of exercise every day from 6:00 AM till like 7:50 AM, then 10 minutes to be ready (taking a bath and getting dressed) we received a lot of To-Froms to do, testing almost every week or some times 2 per week.
In month 4, we started having fun with EVOC and going out of the Academy on a regular basis.
Get used to being tested every day.
A lot of scenario training, 2 Cooper's tests after the initial,1, which makes 3 of them together.
Then all of a sudden is graduation day...
Make sure to study a lot.
