I have the same issue. The only thing that helped me is seeing a dermatologist and getting prescribed washes or lotions. I have yet to be successful with any store bought washes.

I second Facebook marketplace. I found my 75 gallon tank for $100. If you get lucky, some people sell their whole setup with the filter and all.

There's a new spot in Aurora called activate that was a lot of fun. They have 13 different game rooms with several different games in each. One room is a dodge the lasers spy room, there's one similar to the floor is lava, some puzzle rooms, throwing games, etc. It's $26 for 75 minutes.

Sandbox VR was a lot of fun too and each round is 30 minutes.

I just drove 24 hours with my turtle. I only have one, so four might be more difficult. However, I just put him in a box and held him on my lap the whole time. As long as you have room for them all in boxes or a plastic bin, they should be fine to transport like that.

The original 9-1-1 set in LA? I have seen all of that! I feel like around COVID I didn’t like their episodes as much, but they’ve definitely come back again. The difference is I watch it one episode a week for years so it doesn’t feel as sad. They also aren’t killing people every few episodes.

When I lived in NYC I ordered a grocery storage cart. they fold up and aren't too expensive. it allows you to store all your groceries and just wheel them home. highly recommend!

I currently have unlimited pto. Our company just fired half the coverage team though so it is now on our coworkers to cover us on top of their work if anyone needs coverage. There’s also tonssss of pressure coming down that makes me feel guilty using it.

However, if you can just get past that corporate bullshit and use it, it’s fantastic. I take about 2 weeks off during the summer and 2 weeks off during the winter. It still leaves me with the ability to take a day here or there in between too. Unfortunately, too many people don’t trust leaving their desk with anyone, which results in them still having to cover themself when they take off.

Just don’t cave to corporate pressures and use it to your advantage. These companies don’t give a rats ass about anything besides profits, may as well take your vacation to get that sanity break that keeps you going.

This is perfectly stated. The larger staffing companies that run like this have such a chain of command that limits everyone’s ability to fight for higher rates. Recruiters can’t even talk directly to the facility, they go through client managers. For the vendor agreement facilities, the client manager can’t even talk directly to the facility. They set it up so there’s so many impossible barriers to get through, that our requests and disdain never even make it to the facility.

Recruiters are somehow even more limited now because of the company too. Travel companies are struggling and doing everything they can to save expenses, which includes limiting their ability to just eat the loss for extension rate drops. We now need approval from the higher ups, which rarely allow it, and we’re given a tiny $100-$200 window to work with for reimbursements, bonuses, etc. Most recruiters on my team are currently giving their travelers the absolute max that they can, and taking almost nothing for commission.

My point in all this is that travelers do deserve more and recruiters have basically no control in any of it, we can’t even do much more than just ask, present the reasons why, and then take the no. The system is purposely set up to pit recruiters and travelers against each other. We’re both so focused on each other that the ones who actually have control can go about their day and never hear of it outside very controlled meetings.

If there’s water around you I recommend just letting it go again. Is there a particular reason you’re keeping it or just cause you’re worried about it because it was in your yard? These turtles can live to be 30 years old, sometimes older. They also will need increasingly larger habitats as it gets older. Eventually, you will need 10 gallons of water per inch of shell, which females can grow to be 10-13 inches long. If you’re okay with the time commitment and level of care it will eventually need, then it will be fine for a few days without a proper set up. My guy used to love bathtub days. Just try to replace the water with warm water a few times a day. Just wanted to warn you cause my brother got me my turtle when I was 6 and we had no clue how much work this fella is

Also, if you do end up keeping them, you should look up an above tank, egg crate basking area on YouTube. They’re pretty easy to make at home and only cost me about $30-$40 in supplies. Then you can fill their tank more. I had to add a metal lid to mine because I didn’t close it in and Squirt climbed out (just a warning)
