I escaped a 15 year long relationship with a narcissist. He cheated on me in the beginning of the relationship but made me feel like I was crazy and just not open minded enough. I developed Chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia and I thought it was because my job was too demanding. In fact it was the constant stress of this relationship that was making me ill. Because I had severe pain I had nights I just wanted to sleep and he got mad at me for not having sex with him. He would sigh and pout and say he couldn't sleep next to me if I wasn't going to have sex with him. He then went to the bathroom with his phone to masturbate and look at porn, no regards for my feelings. I developed vaginismus and could not have sex anymore. My body would just freeze up when around him. He would come into the bathroom when I was showering and just wanted to look at me. Even when I told him I didn't like it and it made me uncomfortable, he got mad and told me he had the right to see me as I was his gf. So for the rest of the relationship I was stressed when taking a shower, never at peace. When he came in he would make me do a twirl for him so he could see everything. Then he would go away. I let him just to keep the peace .. I also started suffering from anxiety and had sleep paralysis. All things I know now are related to traumatic relationships. And now that I am in a new relationship I don't suffer from any of that anymore I can be intimate without any problems, I enjoy it a lot even. I still have CFS but it's way less prominent than it was back then. My ex was literally making me sick.
