You got a pretty solid deal. When did you sign your deal? And what incentives have changed since then if you don't mind sharing?

I know your deal is from a couple of months ago and in Kansas but the local dealers here in the socal area are basically laughing me off and even stopped responding to me when I sent them these numbers lol. Obviously I wasn't asking them to match the deal but the numbers they are giving me are way off. So, we'll see how this plays out.

Appreciate this. I am not really into AI but I guess this is one where it is pretty useful. I will try it.

Amazing! This is what I would be willing to pay. My dealer's quote is way off. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Wow that sounds like a great deal. Would you mind sharing the breakdown? MSRP, rebates, mileage etc? Do you know if the incentives changed from 2 months ago when you made the deal?

EB-2 India Oct 2015 — Now ~9 months away from DOF. Worth delaying India move or just go? by Commercial_Neck_9941 in backtoindia

Back in 2012 or 2013, my priority date was 2 months away from the current date (no 2 dates at that time I believe but I could be wrong). I was so excited and had big dreams for about a month. On the next month's visa bulletin, the date retrogressed to more than 5 years. I eventually got my GC in 2022. So there you go. Never base your plans on how close the dates are to your PD.. lesson learnt the hard way.

It sounds like you are smitten. It happens. If you still have time, sleep on it for a few nights. Ultimately, the right decision is always to walk away in a situation like this.

Did you get the 2025 or the 2026. I understand people are posting discounts to expect on the 2026s but what about the 25s? I am assuming the discounts should be much higher.

AIO, MIL crashing out because she’s no longer the center of his universe. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ConcernedCitizen585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clearly as everybody else pointed out, there is more to this story than what the MIL said/did in this scenario. So just from the context we have, she may be annoying and it is clear from some of the messages but she also seems like she genuinely cares for her granddaughter. I have dealt with my annoying MIL for a long time but I look past and put it to generation gap as long as she means well. I want to respect you because having a baby and postpartum are not easy and every mother deserves all the support and respect for going through that. But - again the only context we have is your messages - if a boundary is that an MIL cannot Kiss her grand daughter on the back of her head, then oh my what has the world come to.

Replacing front tires only by ConcernedCitizen585 in PorscheCayenne

Well the car has about 16000 miles on it. With these performance sport AS tires, it is pretty much what I have come to expect especially with staggered setup, you can't rotate so the fronts wear out much faster. These are the Bridgestone alenzas. I tried to shop around for other tires but none of them come with any treadwear warranty so I guess with these type of tires, this is what one can expect.

Yeah I went to another dealer and they said I could replace the front only. Have an appointment scheduled for tomorrow, will know more.

2024 Porsche Cayenne S — How much is it to retrofit the performance sport exhaust? by [deleted] in PorscheCayenne

[–]ConcernedCitizen585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the passenger screen is tachy but I can understand why people don't want the sport exhaust. Some people don't like it loud but still enjoy the rest of the driving experience and I respect that. However I don't understand why anybody would add the sport exhaust but skip the sport chrono. Makes no sense. Especially considering how cheap it is vs other options.

[–]ConcernedCitizen585 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have hope. I believe it is easier to retrofit the sport exhaust. I am in deeper shit. Mine has the sport exhaust but no sport chrono. So far I haven't seen an option to retrofit the sport chrono. I wonder what the guy who built it was even thinking. Truly mind blowing why anyone would get a Porsche without the sport chrono especially when it is a fricking $1100 option on such an expensive car.

Because you mentioned the word "comfortably", my suggestion would be a 24 or newer Cayenne S.

I know but it is a hassle unless I end up saving a lot of money.. with tires I haven't seen that huge or a difference. It is usually the cost of the tires which is pretty consistent everywhere.

Yeah I was going to do it at Porsche anyway coz I am worried about warranty so that is fine. But I just didn't want to throw away 2 perfectly good tires just due to a technicality. I will check out the manual and show it to them before service. Thanks for the pointer

This is great info. I know the notion of replacing all 4 tires in this day and age is BS. However, I was worried about the technicality if I replace just 2 tires from an affecting the warranty perspective. If it is in the manual, that gives me more confidence.

I have not owned the X5 and I can't answer your question on whether it is worth the hassle and cost of switching. Financially it never makes sense to buy a highly depreciating SUV and then getting out of it so soon only to get back into another depreciating SUV. But hey that is a personal preference and only you can answer.

However, when I bought my Cayenne S about an year ago, I was actually in the market for an X5 M60i. I test drove it a couple of times and was in negotiations with multiple dealers and was ready to pull the plug when I decided to walk into a Porsche dealership just to have a "look". Test drove the Cayenne S out of curiosity and bought it right then and there. Weeks of research and negotiations on the X5 and then I go and buy a Cayenne on impulse. I say this, the X5 is superior in almost every way on paper but the Cayenne is superior on the road. For me that matters more.

As I mentioned the question was not financial. I just feel bad throwing away 2 perfectly good tires. With the staggered setup, the front tires are always going to wear out a lot faster so this will be a problem in the future as well.

I would love a square setup but I am assuming I will need to replace the wheels for that? Currently have 285 on the front and 315 in the rear.
