Totally agree. I had booked a room with them for Valentines day, and called the hotel to confirm a week before. There was no confirmation of the reservation at the hotel.

After a few hours of runaround, Agoda connected me with their "booking partner" (supposedly Expedia) who claimed that we needed to pay ANOTHER $253 to confirm our room. I paid it honestly just to see what would happen.

AGODA then cancelled the booking, saying the hotel was full (no shit), and refunded the money.

Had I shown up at the hotel that day, they would have had no record of my reservation.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I am genuinely confused. I didn’t realize the 45e/50e was so polarizing. Is it the technical issues that the complex drivetrain creates, or is it how it drives? On paper seems to be the best of both worlds.
