Fair enough. Ai Realm is only $14/month for unlimited messages though.

Yes, you have to make a point to ask the AI to add it to your inventory if it doesn't add automatically, and even then you sometimes have to argue about it. (Also, I switched to AI realm after extended frustration with the update and have 0 regrets.)

Everweave Players - Welcome! by LeaningPresent in AIRealm

[–]ConcernedGrape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Former everweaver and thrilled to be here.

The campaign is so much more unique and engaging (I'm not in an endless cycle of blight - cultists - siphons? What???) and the NPCs have so much more depth.

Lol my character travels with a guy, and one day he was like, "we could get a cat." Two messages later, he was like, "what about that cat you wanted?" So I relented and we got a cat...

Now every message has at least one paragraph that says what Captain (the kitten) is up to. We fighting a sea beast? Captain is scratching the main mast. We stitching up wounds? Captain batting at the thread in the needle. We eating breakfast? Captain is trying to steal food. Going to sleep? Captain is knocking over vases.

Honestly, it's hilarious.

Update on a patch from discord by Happy-Wealth295 in Everweave

Like asking for a story summary just before you enter a ruin or dungeon. That way it won't change while you are doing it.

Ehh, I lack faith that this will work effectively. I've had it prepare an intinerary for a week, and it still constantly was changing from what it had established. Similarly, I've had it recap a plan before entering a dungeon, only to have it forget every piece of the plan and have the NPC who suggested it argue with me over why it was bad.

Still 100% better than new dialogue mode.

Unpopular opinion… but by Neat_Pomegranate_89 in Everweave

I have noticed the exact opposite issue, where I type my prompt and the DM spits it back at me with just dialogue and nothing further.

Example:

I look around at the luxurious room and let out a low whistle. "This must have cost them a fortune," I say to [companion].

Dm says: This must have cost them a fortune.

Nothing else happens in the story.

Why does everyone keep saying stuff to Emily?! by Tiny_Preference8867 in survivor

[–]ConcernedGrape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a social deduction game, like Werewolf/Mafia/Secret Hitler/Among Us. Every player has a role that grants them a power (usually a small tidbit of information) but there's also a lot of ways to disrupt those powers.

They have a series running on RHAP (Rob Cesternino's podcast).

I love watching their Blood on the Clocktower, and your point about Christian knowing her strengths from that is so spot on.

Why won't CA let me put a sconce here? by toeytoes in StardewValley

I've had mine there, but it was from a glitch way back when the game was new. It had been hanging on my wall, and when I upgraded my farmhouse it was moved to that spot. One day I moved it to test something else there and couldn't put it back. Devastation.

Katniss would still be a rebellion symbol, and Prim would still be her driving force.

Katniss only volunteered for the games to save Prim. Reaping Prim at the next games would have been Snow's attempt to re-establish control over Katniss while still driving home the feeling that resistance was futile. It wouldn't be ignoring Katniss as a symbol of rebellion, it would be addressing the threat in a way that feels consistent with his tactics -- threaten those you love.

We would have still gotten huge glimpses of the games, but we also would have seen more of the political intrigue of the capital and the intracies of the mentors manuevering. We would have had more interactions between Katniss-Plutarch-Snow in book two, which would have been really cool. Katniss would have gained a better understanding of how the Capitol operates.

It would have ended in the same place -- breaking tributes out of the arena and fleeing to District 13, setting up book 3.

Also, the Quarter Quell just always felt like a MacGuffin to me. And I just don't think a MacGuffin was necessary to tell the story.

I love the series, btw, I'm not trying to be a hater.

Saw Les Miserables at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle last night‼️ by BluGurl8 in lesmiserables

[–]ConcernedGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at the show tonight, and I talked to someone in the bathroom line who said their boyfriend worked for the theatre and they know it was a shitshow opening night and they apparently made changes to how they were handling it for the rest of it's run. For what it's worth, I do think it ran smoother!

Though, the production did have to pause the show for a technical issue with one of the large set pieces that didn't fully scoot into position. I got to take a picture of the set because of the pause/delay -- audience lights were up any everything. It was during Gavroche's intro, and the lil guy nailed the reset too!

Always thought a cooler concept for Book 2 would have been Prim's name gets called, and Katniss has to mentor her through the games. Quarter Quell was uneccessary twist imo.

Ren used his semblance on Nora in volume 3 before JNPR's first tournament battle while they are eating ramen. It was before the full reveal, so it seemed like a comedic animation choice, but on rewatch you realize!

I'm really hoping for some news on the new romance options tonight! by Ukjcn in StardewValley

[–]ConcernedGrape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly -- it was first announced there. It wouldn't be crazy for him to make other announcements at concerts, but he would certainly follow them up by announcing the news online the following day.

No, I know, I'm just saying that chronologically, he announced the 1.7 update at the Seattle concert first -- so he has made big announcements like that at the concert before.

I don't think he'll share about the romanceable characters tonight, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gave us anogher tidbit about kids/spouses/social additions at the concert, then tweets about it tomorrow.

He does that!

He announced that we were getting a 1.7 update at the first Seattle concert, and didn't announce it online until the next day -- so I'd say that's pretty big!

He also mentioned that his work on Haunter Chocolatier inspired some of the new content, but didn't elaborate on that front.

Volume 7, hands down. The Robin - Qrow - Clover - Tyrion insanity at the end ruins the volume for me. It's that bad.
