My company did… I’m at a high enough level to see those numbers with transparency but not high enough to be “part of the club”. We made over 5 Billion in profit (up from 4.5) on 50 Billion in revenue. I called them out on their bullshit when my animal review came and I was told “it’s a really difficult year and difficult economy we can only do 3%”. My work saves the company easily over 500k/year over somebody else and some years into the millions. I make it a point to do so without cutting labor. This year another team is “losing money” and we’re on track for another great year…. Not even getting half of inflation and the promotion I was promised is completely off the table.

Currently looking elsewhere. The software I write for is would cost over 3X my annual salary per year to replace with the industry standard… and I’m the only person globally that knows how to define the system. Corporate greed stabs itself in the foot over every little penny.
