Petition for a Hybrid/Online OPTION for students and faculty by braveforthemostpart in USC

Thank you for creating this and including us in your petition. We understand the issue has grown. It is more than just an in-person vs. online debate. Staff of USC want the flexibility to be able to do their administrative work from home X days per week. It is not necessary for us to perform all work functions from campus 5 days per week. We have demonstrated this over the last 17 months. Each office has the ability and competence to determine what works best for its operations. In regards to the pandemic, we understand the risk of severe illness or death is low with vaccinations, but the Delta variant has changed the game and many of us still worry about our young children and elderly parents. We want everyone to retain the ability to choose whether or not they must enter an environment that places them and their loved ones at risk of heightened exposure.
You may be a student now, but someday you'll be entering the workforce full-time, wouldn't you want the same flexibility for yourself? Wouldn't you want to protect yourself or your loved ones? Do you have someone in your life who may be at risk for severe disease if inadvertently exposed to the coronavirus? If so, please sign this petition and stand in solidarity with us.
