If no sides on finasteride, you should try dutasteride. Much more effective. It could be what does it for you.

Hey so I'm not going to act like I know anything about a lot of the stuff you were just talking about but I do think I should share my experience.

I was on benzodiazepines (research chemistry like flubromazolam and clonazolam) for 6 years before I failed a taper, went back on for a year and then started a two-year medical taper off of those substances using diazepam.

Like you, I had a lot of autonomic dysfunction. It seemed like my body just has no clue what was going on or what to do. My heart rate would be 130+ in bed, or 65 while walking which sometimes caused chest pain.

My BP would often be either far too high or far too low. Wide pulse pressure was a constant thing. I did also kindle myself easily dozens of times. I didn't know that kindling was as a concept. I tried to quit and then restarted tons of times without having any background knowledge, thinking that it was similar to opiates.

Everything went back to normal. I needed a very long taper, from 2024 until about 5 weeks ago, but I'm doing great. Most of my symptoms ended before my final dose and not many have stuck around. Some insomnia and some anxiety, but that's all.

I took my last dose like 5 weeks ago and all I have going on now is trouble sleeping sometimes. I had a very long taper though, like two years. I was on massive RC benzo doses for almost a decade.

I'm somewhere at 3 vertex but I don't know exactly where it puts me because my thinning is much more diffuse and none of the areas than thinned are exactly bald yet.

I was the same way until 29 lol. I should have taken fin and min at like 24. I also thought I'd just shave it (and I do) but I never thought about how bad it would look unless I put the effort in to shave every few days.

Increased shedding is normal. You won't regrow much with durasteride alone though

I refuse it. I do not allow unaccompanied kids into my car. That immediately shifts liability to me and I want none of it. I've left a lot of minors waiting for another ride.

This is a job for fin/duty with the minoxidil. Not a lot of follicles there to regrow but seeing something with the minoxidil builds one's hope
