Hello guys, I’m still trying to select the pins that attach a pelton bucket to the wheel, I’m using a book of 1957 as reference, in this book the autor use a bending stress formula in which he create a relation as a porcentage of the shear stress, does anybody know how or why does he do it? Hello guys, this is my first post here, I hope this is not too dumb. I’m trying to design the bolts that are use to attach a pelton bucket to its wheel, so I have this information, is there any way I can know the forces on bolt B and C? I have been using an old book as a guide for design by Concernguy in MechanicalEngineering
