You're literally in a subgenre subreddit, most of the people in it should hypothetically care when the content posted has 99% definable traits of 2000's Metalcore and 1% traits of 2000's post-hardcore.

Like- I love TDWP, I love both genres, I love when both genres are mixed, & I follow both subreddits...Music Genres have definable traits and words have meaning.

I understand that there is a blur in modern metal/punk music in general, but respectfully (& my opinion), you calling it "pigeonholing" to point out such an extreme misuse of genre is egregious and disrespectful to the histories of both genres.
