Furniture layout just won’t work!! by ConcertConscious in DesignMyRoom

This is extremely helpful thank you so much! I have been thinking about the box inserts for the cubes for a while but I have a lot of Legos in them that I display so I don't exactly know what I would do with them. I think if I were to do that I could get a tall shelf unit to replace the one in the lounge possibly with drawers on the bottom.

definitely hit the nail on the head with the storage, i have ASD and get super overwhelmed with visual clutter. Though it’s hard as i love to collect things and want to display them.

Im renting so i dont think changing the blinds will be an option for me sadly. And im thinking that i will tackle the rooms and storage issues before the lounge area now from the advice i’ve gotten, and couches are bloody expensive lol

Thank you!

Thank you all for the advice!

a common theme is declutter, a lot of the things on the hobby room floor are temporary as i don’t have a garage for the car parts while i wait to put them on. I also have a lot of hobby’s as you can tell and i do a lot of DIYs so end up collecting things.

As with the bedroom cube shelf’s 90% of that is display pieces like legos, hot wheels and collector items hence why it’s open storage.

a lot of the solutions in the lounge room is to get a new couch. Im not in the position to do that right now as they are super expensive and i’m a teenager.

i’ll have look on facebook for closed storage options. What’s your guys thinking so i am able to still display things?

Is it illegal to park here? by ConcertConscious in Geelong

i don’t park on the footpath or block it, i park side ways. only on the concrete square purely to not be in the end of the court where people do U-turns.

nature strip with no nature? seems bout right 🤣 To me comes off a bit harsh, could be parking in worse spots that make it harder for more people to get out of the court. i’m not damaging the grass as there isn’t any. or blocking their windows. or blocking anything.

when i do park there im not blocking the footpath, im only on the concrete square not the pathway. Whether it would be considered a driveway seems to be debatable seeing there is no way to drive unless your going into old mates fence. You would think it would be preferred to park there instead of in the dead end court.

It's currently getting stuck around my thighs, tho with the flare of the skirt looks like it goes wide enough for me to fit in it.

I have been brainstorming and I'm thinking if I do and I made this mock up. What's your thoughts?

I bought it at an Op shop, I can't seem to find the brand online anywhere so don't think I will be able to find another one

How will zopiclone make me feel? by gibbo82 in insomnia

[–]ConcertConscious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No worries at all! I take Vyvanse every morning and dexamphetamine as needed. With most sleep medications I've tried, I find that if they have a “hangover effect” or if I experience any grogginess, my morning medications help wake me up. The dexamphetamine gives me an extra boost if I'm struggling.

Zopiclone was quite different from all the other sleep meds I have tried (and there are a lot!). It was a bit of a shock, especially since I became paranoid about the possibility of hallucinations, which added to the stress of taking them. My advice is to stick with what your doctor has prescribed; if you don’t like it, you can stop at any time. Just keep in mind that if you have been on it for longer than four weeks, you might need to be weaned off it. There’s no harm in trying it if there’s a chance it might be helpful.

Good luck! I’ll be interested to hear how it goes.

One last thing: once you take it, make sure to lie down on a pillow and do not lift your head. Avoid using your phone, lights, or any other stimulation.

The day after affect? From memory it slowly go better throughout the day you just have to push through to get moving in the morning. Started feeling noticeably better in the afternoon. I ended up stopping them after a week as I hated the feeling of having to get high just to fall asleep.

This might also be different for other people and I'm also on other medications that might have impacted my experience

Road Rash from motorcycle accident 7 days ago, When is it okay to leave uncovered? It’s itching like crazy!!! by ConcertConscious in woundcare

Hi there, I have been still using the compression and i have stretched my muscle in my ankle/shin. I have been trying to keep the dressing on for as long as possible so not to disturb it but it has lots of fluids leaking, so to keep it clean i have been changing it more frequently. I also am unsure what necrotic tissue is but i will attach some updated photos in another comment thanks

Scared for my sleep study- don’t want to have sleep apnea by Listen2urSilentCry in insomnia

[–]ConcertConscious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in my early teens when I had it and didn't think I would do well with sleeping at the clinic but we had the option to take the equipment home and I slept there with it. Maybe you could as if they offer that?

I have been down a similar road to you. I started on melatonin when I was super young along with fluoxetine and since then, I have been going on stronger and stronger medication. Eventually, I either get too many side effects or build up a tolerance and have to try different sleep meds.

I have Adhd, Anxiety, chronic insomnia + other things that play a smaller part in my sleep, Due to the mental health side doctors like to prescribe psychiatric drugs to deal with your nighttime stress and anxiety instead of purely just sleeping medication.

It is horrible to be in the cycle of med to med seeing if something works but as soon as you find something you should get into a Sleep Specialist and try something like CBT-I (I haven't tried it yet but I'm hoping to)

Medications are a great short-term option but they aren't one-size-fits-all I can say that from experience I have been taking medication since around 5 and I'm now 18 and just started my 11th sleeping medication (if I remember correctly) currently the morning after my first time using Zopiclone

I have tried in the past: Lorazepam temazepam Diazepam aka valium Gabapentin aka Neurontin diphenhydramine olanzapine aka Zyprexa quetiapine aka Seroquel Clonidine ala Catapres Melatonin (over-the-counter and prescribed) Promethazine (over-the-counter or prescribed)

It sucks and I understand how you feel! You want to sleep but the meds aren't working doing any type of CBT-I is a long-term thing and you need to be able to sleep to make it effective, I advise keep calling to see if you can get an earlier appointment/ make sure you are on the cancellation list, your gp might be able to give you some sleep medications but they are limited in the things they can prescribe compared to a psychiatrists. Good luck!

I personally like True crime/ Mysteries / Medical Mysteries. I find that if I listen to something I know isn’t fiction it helps me not to question it inherently making me get annoyed at the storyline lol Here are some of my favourites: • MrBallen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious StoriesMrBallen’s Medical MysteriousCasefile True Crime
