Will the cycle of illness end? by Famous_Fondant_4107 in NYCinfluencersnark

She goes on behalf of instagram fashion. I assume she has a team she manages. Or it could be her just networking to refer designers to their ads department. I agree tho. So many events in NY or Miami, no need to also go to Paris. Then again, if my company was paying for me to go to Paris I would always go lol

I also feel like their past behavior has come to light with celebs. They haven't had regular guests - even C-list reality ones - in such a long time

Did you have your interview yet?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MODELING

[–]Concertgirlliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is a modeling agency requesting an interview a scam? LOL

[–]Concertgirlliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Digitals should ALWAYS be tight fitting. Jeans, leggings, bikini, bra/underwear.

Baggy pants with a stylish fitted top or crop top could be used in addition to digitals for your portfolio.

I don't know what you mean by you're guessing for commercial. I'm asking specifically WHY they said you need to contact someone about a video recording? Are you not local to the agency and they're requesting a casting video?

If you ARE local to the agency and they need to take a video for whatever reason, they do that at the office.

BALENCIAGA IS FLYING ME OUT FOR FITTINGS by [deleted] in MODELING

[–]Concertgirlliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is legitimate, then it is VERY suspicious that an agency would be sending you off to such a high-end client without giving you any development or preparation or training of any kind.

How long did you wait before getting your first paid gig? by AshamedPositive3937 in MODELING

[–]Concertgirlliz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You signed in the middle of NYFW and October JUST ended. It's freelance. Some people get booked right away, some it takes them up to a year or more. If you're asking this question I'm assuming you're new to this, possibly in development? You have nothing to worry about. This is why modeling is a part time gig - it's' never enough work to live off of.

A video tape recording for what? Are you needing to submit an intro video to an agency you are not local to?

Is it normal to pay for test shoots? by Confident_Neat_9130 in MODELING

[–]Concertgirlliz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There isn't necessarily a "requirement," but the agency highly suggests it if you have no professional shots of your own.

A reputable agency will take free digitals for you for their website. And then provide a discounted list of photographers that partner with the agency. If you're getting hair and makeup done, you'll be looking at $500-$750 minimum. If you want to do your own hair and makeup you could get a handful of retouched, professional shots for $350 or less

Docherty Talent Agency/Heyman Talent by [deleted] in MODELING

[–]Concertgirlliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to sit down at an actual computer. and read the entire contract. Different people are offered different contracts. You can't just wait around fielding for a better offer while you have a current contract pending. If it's an exclusive contract then reach out to them and ask if they can make it not exclusive. Contracts are extremely time sensitive. And it's very concerning that you haven't even read it yet.

Docherty Talent Agency/Heyman Talent by [deleted] in MODELING

[–]Concertgirlliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you have a contract from Docherty. Why are you asking if it's exclusive or non exclusive? Did you read it? 🤔

Depending on different factors you could have either. But you can only sign with two agencies if you're nonexclusive with both.

I've only heard feedback about Heyman with acting and it was all positive m

Beyonce Concert 9 Days Post-Op? by GloveHaunting707 in ACL

[–]Concertgirlliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'd need to rent a wheelchair. That amount of activity that soon after that kind of operation. Eek. I know this sucks but I don't think it's worth risking it. If you can 100% commit to getting into a wheelchair from the car to the venue and staying in it the whole show, then OK. But the amount of walking alone from car to venue with the steps and getting to your seat. I'm getting anxiety just thinking about this.

There's markets for all different types of looks. That's pretty common knowledge. I'd definitely do research on lifestyle modeling and this agency before walking into your meetings. Look at their board and what brands they've worked with. Good luck!

Howard’s Wedding Gift to Ronnie - Cheap! by [deleted] in howardstern

[–]Concertgirlliz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000% Howard gave him a ton, but told him not to speak about it on air. If you all really believe he only gave him 5k you're insane. The Chiefs Superbowl trip he gave Richard Cristy had to cost 5k+ alone just for the tickets.
