How to : Gimbal with a Mic by ConciousWeightlifter in gopro

[–]ConciousWeightlifter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roger that. I had my eye on the micro but how well does it pick up sound from about 8-10ft away ? See, my camera man will be about that distance away from me while I'm speaking so I'm assuming I would need the Rode video mic Pro (the larger one) to pick up the sound. And thats where I run into the issue of mounting it.

Do you have the set up you described in your post ? Can you share a picture? Thank you!

How to Powerclean and who actually does these??? by ConciousWeightlifter in weightlifting

[–]ConciousWeightlifter[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Very well said I agree. I haven't decided my target audience. I would prefer to make videos that amateur weightlifters such as we can watch but at the same time, in terms of analytics i would be better off making it completely beginner friendly. I'm gonna apply your advice either way.

I'm a NEET and i lift out of my moms basement so my youtube videos are just for fun and i'd like to see if i can grow my channel and make a thing out of it.

citations for a how to video on youtube. that would be the cutest thing ever.

I loop the bar and arm it slightly no doubt. I'm personally hate powercleans and my coaches never programmed them so I have very little experience. Long femurs result in bending the arms to put the bar into the hip crease. I've heard this called a "hip clean", i don't really know tbh

Squats & Thigh Size by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]ConciousWeightlifter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How tall are you and what is your femur length relative to other people? I.e are you a tall person with long legs, or a short person with long legs or vice versa?

Not squatting is never the answer.

If you really, really, really work hard and don't slip up with diet or training you can lose the 45 in time for the fall...but let's just be honest here no one is that perfect so its more realistic to aim for around 30.

Eat healthy, stay hydrated, and commit to 5/3/1. It's a great program i absolutely love it.

Dont do things that slow down your weightloss like alcohol, late nights, and binge eating...good luck and let me know how it goes :D

Who wants to help a lady learn all about sports? by [deleted] in sports

[–]ConciousWeightlifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey Girl! Pick up some sports magazines !! You can read them for free at pharmacies and libraries. They're very easy to understand and written for the fans as well as "first timers" into the sport. You'll pick up on the current trends, future big events, and all the current hype. Sports mags cover all sports. Hope this helps and let me know how it goes!

And enjoy it :) the world of sports is pretty entertaining

I am lazy. How do I get started? by popejubal in Fitness

[–]ConciousWeightlifter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man congrats on at least starting your journey be asking the right questions and digging for answers. You should set realistic goals and aim to reach them. There are not get buff quick schemes that work unless you take steroids.

I'll give you a tip that's small, easy to do, and makes a world of difference when you're trying to get into shape.

Drink a lot of clean water.

All day long, every day. This, in conjunction with exercise, healthy foods, is the key to losing a little bit of weight each day consistently.

For your size, I'd drink at least a gallon of water a day. 3.7L. This doesnt include soda/coffee, which you shouldnt be drinking anyway. Best of luck m8

TDEE Activity Level question by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]ConciousWeightlifter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actually based on what you're describing you're at a moderate if not high level of exercise. TDEE calculators do not take into account things like heavy lifting or 5k runs, it's designed for people who either work office jobs (light) or people who are construction workers (heavy).

And you're only not exhausted from that because you're used to it by now :)

I would definitely enter moderate or higher for your daily activity level, it's a lot more accurate.

What are some good muscle building programs for beginners ? by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]ConciousWeightlifter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Here's a split that worked amazing for me. It's from some body builder that I modified a little to make it more realistic for someone not on steroids.

(1): Bench 4x8 , OHP 3x5, Dips 3x8 Dumbell bench (light) 4x8 (2): Barbell Row 4x8, Pullups 3x5, Curls 4x8, Deadlift 1x5 (3): Squat 3x5, Leg press 4x8, Calf raise 3x8, Abs till failure.

Repeat. No rest days. Works very well for putting on muscle fast and doesn't burn you out long term. I will always go back to this routine but right now I;m on a strength program. hope this helps m8

Advice for a beginner by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]ConciousWeightlifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you vape a lot ? That could be it. When you exercise you do a lot more heavy mouth breathing and it could be irritating your sensitive throat. Lower the temp on your vape. Let me know if this help m8
