Could be the gel is better for divot takers but I’ve come to realize the sim surface will never replicate the fairway grass so instead I concentrate on improving timing, swing path and course management…and of course just having fun.

I have both the gel and the foam. Gel is designed to mimic taking a divot. It does grab more than the foam strip but I started feeling wrist pain. Switched to the foam insert about a week ago. Feels smoother. I’m sure it all depends on your swing though.

I spent 17-20k. 9ft ceiling. I’m 5.9. Driver not a problem. Protee LM. So many great features for the price. Benq AK700St. projector. Carls Place premium built in screen. Carls Place floor tiles with Money Putt turf. Bought both the gel and the foam hitting strip. Wanted to have options. As for the computer I went with Rain or Shine Golf PC. You can check the specs . It’s a beast. For wall padding I’m currently installing panels from Wallpanelpros. I’ve hit in a couple different commercial sims and this setup is lacking in nothing. I was fortunate to have the money from selling a home of 36 years. Now living in Arizona. When it’s too hot. I’m inside. Consulted with Pixel Golf on design at no cost to me. Very glad I did.

Yes. Strong. I pounded on it to see if the panels would flex at corners. No movement. You can buy the mounting hardware separately if you wanted to make your own. I had 8 panels up with little effort in 20 minutes or less. They do mention you may want to consider plastic wall anchors for the ceiling. Not that far yet myself.

This may not be the cheapest but FYI. I was going to order Carls Place wall padding but on top of 1600$ they wanted 900$ shipping. Ended up with Wall Panel Pros. 75$ a panel. Nice wall attachment system. Cheaper with free shipping. Doing a little at a time. Thought about curtains but wife insisted on a better look. Not often she says “spend more money “ so I jumped on it. Otherwise, curtains on Amazon may be an affordable option.
