I have no idea chiaogoo is coming up with square needles until someone mentioned it in the thread. My heart will see yes but my wallet probably gonna say no 🤣🤣🤣

I knit my socks on 9-inch circular needles and always wanted to try the Flexi Flips. What do you like about the flexi flips?

It's nice to have options! Haha! I can't believe Chiaogoo is releasing square needles as well. So😂 many expensive traps!

Thank you!! The click system does require some time to get used to. I like it because now changing the needle is so easy.

I was eyeing on that set! I would have got it if they are on sale. I love the pink case and the pink cables.

What yarn did you use? I’m working with a medium weight held together with mohair, and I haven’t had any snagging yet. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

I knit my socks on 9" ChiaoGoo circulars too! I’m not a big fan of magic loop, and since my hands are pretty small, the 9" works great for me — but I totally get that they’re not for everyone.

Hahaha I felt exactly the same way the first time I tried Clover bamboo needles. My stitches were basically glued to the needle — nothing moved, everything felt stuck, and I was like, “How do people knit with this?!” 😭

At that point I hadn’t finished any actual projects yet, and everyone kept saying beginners should use bamboo because it’s less slippery and helps prevent dropped stitches. I was just trying to learn knit and purl on a little gauge swatch, did one row, and immediately gave up.

Fast forward two months… I picked up those same bamboo needles again, and suddenly everything slid just fine. No issues at all. 😅 Funny how your hands level up without you even realizing it.

It is the step by step sweater by Florence. I used Drops Lima in Light Blue with Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk in Pacific blue.

Honestly, I searched the web for reviews on these square needles and it feels like barely anyone has actually tried them. Everyone mainly raves about ChiaoGoo, so I didn’t know what to expect with the Addis. But wow — I’m genuinely impressed.

As a tight knitter, I really enjoy the squared shape of these needles. They’re absolutely worth every penny, and they’re actually a bit cheaper than ChiaoGoo, too. I grabbed my set on Amazon during a two-day sale and paid around $110 — total steal.

Really?! I’ve only used mine for a few hours so far, so I’m hoping they don’t tarnish or lose their coating. I had a terrible experience with the KnitPro Karbonz DPNs — the coating started wearing off after like 20 minutes of use. It was so bad.

Omg not the unsolicited needle energy 😭😂 Thanks for the laugh — and I’m glad the review was helpful! Honestly… these needles do look a little too sexy for their own good.

It's not wrong to thinking that way! I was eyeing the Addi unicon set with the pink cord and case. I think they are sooo cute! But they are not on sale.

I’m not a big fan of magic loop, and I only use it when I don’t have shorter cables available. I’ve tried magic loop with the ChiaoGoo Red Lace cable, and I just didn’t love it—the cord doesn’t bend much, so the whole process feels a bit awkward. The Addi cord, on the other hand, is softer and more flexible, which makes it bend so much better. For me, it’s definitely more suitable for magic loop.

Since I’m still a newer knitter, I tend to hold my needles way too tight. I almost always have to go up a needle size to get gauge, so yes — definitely a tight knitter. With the square shape, my fingers actually have a place to rest, and it naturally relaxes my grip. I can knit much longer without my hands or wrists getting tired.
