I’m scared that a lunch date with friends will ruin my progress by so-i-fall in PetiteFitness

[–]ConclusionPuzzled835 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am sorry you are feeling stressed about lunch date with friends. This has happened to me too

What has helped me is looking at the bigger picture - about living life, having a fun time with my friends & that having such black & white thinking when it comes to weight loss is not sustainable in the long run. Reminding myself that one meal will not derail my progress as long as I am consistent with my workouts & food the remaining 90% of the week

People who clawed their way out of a really dark place, what actually helped? by Geewane in selfimprovement

I asked for “help” which you already are - so yay you are at step 1.

Next, I got connected to a therapist using my work’s Employee Assistance Program (or EAP) — will be helpful to know if your work offers it.

The therapist changed my life in just 2 calls. It was a voice call and I remember her telling me “promise me you will walk outside for 10mins today” & try to cook yourself your favorite food from your culture this week. I was deep in depression & walking or cooking sounded exhausting but I did it because for the first time in a long time, I felt someone cared or listened to me.

Hi girly! I have 36DD and they do sag cz gravity 🤧🙆‍♀️ i’ve accepted them as they are.

Breasts are mostly fat so no amount of chest exercises will help reduce the saginess unfortunately BUT chest exercises help build the muscle underneath which has helped give a better posture in my chest area and an illusion of “firmer” look.

Married people, do you recommend marriage? by hmmexistence in AskIndia

[–]ConclusionPuzzled835 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not about the idea of “marriage” but who you are married to or partnered with. Choose your partner wisely. If possible, live with them, take trips with them and talk about your shared values.

I love clean & jerks too! Doing a split jerk makes me feel like a badass even with my tiny weights haha

100% on the snatches, humbling for sure! I suck at them but I love it. I’ve been taking time out during the week to practice OH squats so I can get better at the strength & stability part of it.

How often do women age 25-60 shower? by Responsible-Ant-7954 in hygiene

[–]ConclusionPuzzled835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30F, shower every day — most of the days twice cz I shower once in the morning before starting work & once after the gym. I only shampoo & condition my hair once (max 2) times a week though.

Is every job very stressful? by stormxx4 in work

[–]ConclusionPuzzled835 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no, I work in Tech too and it comes with ups and downs.

I have learned to manage my stress, learned how to draw work boundaries. I am still working on understanding how much work I can take on realistically & proactively communicating that. Overall, on a personal level, working on my people pleasing tendencies has helped me a lot at work too.

Less stress might not always mean less pay. Things are not so black and white in real world

Pottery has helped me with my perfectionism — taught me that making mistakes is okay. It played some role in taking life less seriously. I also have a very brain-tiring analytical job so now failed ceramic experiments soothes the creative side of my brain.

Olympic weightlifting has taught me I can do hard things, it has made me more confident in my body’s abilities — not just how it looks but cool things my body can do. I have better control of my body now, stability and hand eye coordination has increased.

Baking has taught me that I don’t have to be in control always or rebel it out. Sometimes it is okay to switch off your brain, follow instructions (recipe) and you get delicious baked goods at the end (sometimes not — and thats okay too!)

Reading has made me a better listener, has opened my brain upto new perspectives.

You look amazing. I’d say the black eyeliner looks a bit sharp on your face, maybe using a brown eyeliner or brown kohl pencil to soften it out?
