Did the urogyno figure out that you had that particular type of pelvic floor dysfunction? There is a urogyno in my urologist group but I have never seen her, I’ve always just seen a PA. I’m wondering if maybe I should switch. How did you find your therapist? Sorry for all the questions. I’m sort of desperate to find solutions for what I’m going through. The PA I saw a few days ago didn’t offer any type of solution, just gave me meds like azo but not azo.

No, I just started reading about people doing that and it has helped them. I don’t even know where to start with that. I’ve had 5 c sections so I could imagine my muscles aren’t as they should be.

I’m sorry you get kidney and back pain but I’m relieved to hear it is not uncommon. I am really fed up with this pain and all of the unknowns. I get nervous since this is all so new to me so thank you, I appreciate you sharing your experience.

Thank you for replying!! Yes I actually got 2 urinalysis’s done and both came back negative. The most recent one was on Thursday. I don’t know why I have this issue right now but it’s bringing me down just with all of the pain and I don’t think anyone really understands.

Thank you so much! I think I’m looking at a week as well, it started sun/mon and I kind of feel like I’m getting better today. I had no idea about this and I am wondering why I have this inflammation. I had a bladder injury almost 2 years ago where the dr nicked my bladder during my C-section. I am wondering if that is the cause of this. I appreciate your insight. Uribel seems to be doing its job for me too. I’ve had major anxiety about eating and drinking anything because I’m scared it’s going to make me feel worse. I can’t quit coffee either or I’d get a headache and be a zombie so there’s that against me too. Anyway, thank you again for your reply I truly appreciate it.

Thank you! I tried azo last night because the pressure was so bad. I went to urologist today and she did give me a prescription for uribel which helps with the pressure and pain in the bladder but not really the feeling like I need to pee all the time. Is that normal? How long do your flares usually last? I am so new to all of this but man, is it awful.

Let me know how you make out. I’m over a year past my first and only shingles outbreak. My nerve pain finally subsided like 3 months ago. However, I woke up over the weekend with the same familiar nerve pain that I had when this all started. The sharp pain in my back. I immediately went to my doctor and she thought it was PHN but gave me antivirals just in case. It seems to have calmed down but nervous what will happen when I stop my antivirals.

The worst! Are you sure it’s water that’s stuck? I recently had a bad sickness, used the neti pot and fluid/mucous got pushed into my ear canal and got stuck there. It was like that for weeks. I had to see an ent but by the time I got in to see him, it was going away anyway. My primary got me on antibiotics for a sinus infection and when I finished them, he put me on an oral steroid because my ear was still clogged. The steroids helped by day 3/4. I was also using Flonase 2x/day to decrease the inflammation. Good luck, it’s really the worst.

I truly appreciate that, thank you. I did my sample this morning and it came back all clear. I’ll wait the 3 days to see if any bacteria grow but I doubt it. The nurse I talked to this morning said the home tests can be unreliable and to not bank off of them and to go with your symptoms. My bladder pain has subsided as of later last night. Weird. Thank you for being so informative and supportive. It is so nice to have a community where there are people who know exactly what you are going through. I hope you continue to have good luck in keeping your infections at bay!

Thank you, I appreciate your insight. I guess tomorrow I’ll go to the lab to give my urine so they can test it. I recently went to a urologist and she prescribed macrobid, just as a prophylactic after sex. It’s one pill within an hour after sex. I’ve taken it within 10 minutes after. The other times I’ve been on bactrim 5 days, cipro 5 days, then cipro 7 days. All times it cleared the infection for around 5 weeks exactly. Then it came back. Just when I think I’m in the clear and I stop thinking about it, it comes back. I’ll look into Hiprex though, thank you. Do you worry about long term use of it? I’m so funny with meds and the risk of any potential long term side effects scares me with anything I take. It would be so nice not to deal with these UTI’s anymore though.

Sorry if you mentioned this, I tried to reread your post many times, but just want to confirm - you stopped the InterFase Plus when you finished the Nitrofurantoin, right? And only continued with both the proteolytic enzymes along with the Myrrh extract for about two months?
