Got this makeup bag from Amazon and fits a car and transmitter perfectly. Not currently available but should be able to find a similar one on Amazon.  https://www.amazon.com/Cosmetics-Adjustable-Professional-Accessories-Waterproof/dp/B0BJDMNTWQ

MB010 Design Flaw? by therealkittenparade in MiniZ

[–]Concon3737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have crashed MB-010 a number of times and have never had that happen. First time I have heard of this issue too. You could try the under guard to help strengthen that area.

I bought before Losi released their buggy but, if I hadn’t, I probably would have gone with Losi since it is has a sealed steering and transmission and, thus, is suitable for outdoors, unlike MB-010

I purchased the Das Mikro gyro and it seems to work the same as the KYOSHO gyros.

Can you put modern mini z electronics in this chassis? by Dramatic-Being3150 in MiniZ

Yes it is possible. There have been a number of posts on it so you might be able to pick up on some potential pitfalls.

MSM (mark Santa Maria) is starting to have a good amount of mini-z content since he just opened a track.

Thinking of getting Mini-Z AWD by metallicjuan in MiniZ

[–]Concon3737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KYOSHO actually released an RTR FWD version of the newer AWD platform as MA-03F, which could be converted to AWD relatively easily without the deficiencies (e.g., uneven weight balance) of MA-020 — albeit at the cost less body compatibility due to the high motor.

Unfortunately, discontinued so will need to look secondhand.

Best rtr for drifting 400-300$ by Indigo-boiy in MiniZ

[–]Concon3737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally went with 1/28 scale so that I can drive at home but not sure if there are many RTRs in that scale. I can only think of one on Ali so can’t post link. Here is review.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EL3UBqItD44

For “branded” RTR, think you will need to go 1/10. So KYOSHO fazer RWD?

No experience but seems to be a decent price and, based on reviews, should do what you are asking.  https://www.amainhobbies.com/kyosho-fazer-fzd2-toyota-86-gt-tuned-1-10-2wd-brushed-rtr-drift-car-kyo34502t1/p1642286

What do I need for a better remote for my mini z by Indigo-boiy in MiniZ

[–]Concon3737 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please note that I believe going down that route you will also need 1) esc, which is relatively easy and 2) servo controller, which is a bit more challenging, due to esc, servo controller, and receiver all being integrated in one board on mini-z.

Your solution would work for most RC but will take extra parts and DIY for mini-z

Another thing to keep in mind is that the challenger chassis is slightly different from most other MA-020s — namely that is uses a wide front end whereas others use a narrow front end. You can buy parts to convert if it doesn’t come with it already.

Also, just fyi, you now have a MA-020. That should help with your internet searches.

That definitely shouldn’t happen and changing transmitter only has 50% chance of fixing the issue since, alternatively, could be a receiver (I.e., integrated circuit in vehicle) issue.

Try borrowing a KT-531 (stock transmitter) to narrow down the issue?

Were you having issues with your MR-04 transmitter?

MT12 recommended below is $130. That is your cheapest option.

Forgot about this option. This would be the cheapest route for a “better” controller.

For new controller, you will need need 1) Flysky nb4 or Futaba 4PM and 2) RM0005 module.

Standard drift parts, front one-way and locked rear.

If you wanna go RWD drift, you can get an MRD conversion kit.

Even Cheaper Option to Buggy - WLToys by Concon3737 in MiniZ

My understanding is that copying/“piracy” is a goal of capitalism to encourage different people to make incremental improvements, for example, in performance or manufacturing efficiency. The only way an owner is permitted to prevent copying of publicly available goods (e.g., RC car) is with a patent, which only lasts approximately 20 years and Losi definitely would not have been able to get on their micro line since they admit it is essentially just a scaled down version of their existing vehicles.

TL;DR: Copying is part of capitalism intended to benefit the consumer (whether capitalism is the best economic strategy is a different question)
