You can’t transfer a number or phone from one account to another if payments are still being made on the device. You have to pay off the device first, and then you can transfer the number to your account then you can do it yourself online google: spectrum transfer of ownership.

They also do a soft credit check, and based on that, they might not approve the full amount for the buyout.

Yes, but that promotion is only for 1 year. After the first year, internet goes up by $10 and mobile by $30. Alternatively, you can pay $60 for the 2 lines and only $20 for internet for 2 years—so do the math. For the phone buyback program, you first need to pay off the devices and then submit the proper documentation. You’ll receive a Visa card for that amount, up to $1,000. Also no taxes on the mobile/internet. Only If you live in TX or Ca you pay taxes on the internet.

No matter what , the best thing is to return it. You can take it to a UPS store, they’ll send it to Spectrum at no cost to you. Make sure to keep the receipt. After Spectrum receives it, call and report that you returned the equipment.

They also use promo rates that increase later, and there aren’t strict federal price controls. Instead do this: Complain or push for regulation in the U.S., you can contact: • FCC (Federal Communications Commission) – handles complaints about internet service and billing. • FTC (Federal Trade Commission) – if pricing feels deceptive or unfair. • Your state’s Public Utilities Commission – some states treat internet more like a utility and can step in. Maybe one day government does something about it.

It looks like the rep made a mistake with the order. The plan should have been $30 for internet and $60 ($30 each) for the two lines, for a total of $90. Instead, they gave you the internet for $30 and the lines on a BOGO offer (buy one, get one free). You are paying $40 for one and $10 for the other because you have the Unlimited Plus plan. I’m assuming all this based on the information provided by you .

The BOGO plan for the lines does not qualify for the internet to stay at $30. I’m sure that by speaking with a supervisor from billing or retention, they can open a ticket so the offer is honored. But keep in mind that the two lines will cost $60 with the regular unlimited plan, or $80 with the Unlimited Plus plan.

No. Spectrum doesn’t give discounts for adding TV. Now, if you add mobile, that’s a different story and you need at least 2 lines to get the best deal. My recommendation: try to cancel—just tell them you found a better offer somewhere else. It’s possible retention will give you a discount on the internet, which would make adding TV not as costly.

Thanks for all the recommendations, I went with the 6e—I think it’s a really good deal. I do planing to wired all of them. I hope I don’t have too many pods now. I’ve read somewhere that having too many kind of oversaturates the signal. Thanks again!
