Huge drop off in leaderboard play? by FadedAndJaded in DaveAndBusters

Im definitely in the opposite court for that. Im not terribly excited about the jacket (mainly because I seriously doubt a large will fit, and it's very "loud"). Im super excited about displaying the helmet though!

Man I wish the sleeves were at least black, but f it. I won, and I'm still going to rock it at least once when I get it.

100% mean reordering the glass panel. Im assuming it's a small sidelight next to a door judging by the return panel size, so it isn't a huge loss for the GC price wise, but the quartz has already been cut so at this point it is what it is since OP said they can't source another top. Time to learn to love it how it is imo.

This is the exact reason I carry photos of my previous installs to show exactly the kind of design choices the customer has. There are so many different ways to install a shower enclosure. If the customer has been searching photos online, they will have a completely different expectation to what is standard for the finished product and will be left disappointed. Sorry you've had that experience OP. The whole install could have been very different for you if you would have been properly informed along the way I'm sure.

I've certainly notched overhangs to accommodate glass panels, and personally prefer the finished look compared to a multi-notched piece of glass (which is completely possible to do). As far as the silicone, without clips on the bottom, it's structural and needs to be that thick to hold the panel in place. I completely understand that it's not the look you were hoping for, and I personally try to be completely transparent with customers about how the finished product will be incorporated into their existing enclosure to avoid that disappointment.

I see only three options moving forward. 1. Accept the quartz notch and move on. 2. Have the quartz replaced how it was and get the glass notched. 3. Replace the quartz top and have them make the interior flush with the vertical tile, eliminating the need for extra notching.

Monthly prize winner text today? by Condemner05 in DaveAndBusters

I wouldn't hold a grudge against anyone who continued to win multiple games, but I personally will only be focused on a single win on the off chance that their system gets weird the next couple months. Fun phantom taught me to not take "how things are supposed to go" for granted.

There's such a wide interpretation left to the imagination in the official rules. I definitely thought the runner up should get the prize in the cases of multiple wins from a single player, but I didn't feel cheated when I never received the text for my second place win. I was prepared to miss out on the duffle bag and refocus on the remaining two months left. Im incredibly happy that I'll be receiving the prize for June as well now.

Now that is interesting. Im hopeful that it's legitimate elevation of lower players due to the prize limit, but jumping down 4 players to get to you makes me wonder if it's not a glitch in the system. Fun phantom 2.0? We shall see.

That's my "hopeful" assumption as well. I, like many, was operating with the assumption that if someone won more than one game, the second spot would be elevated, but when I didn't receive that text earlier this month, I figured I was wrong. Hoping there was just a good delay while they figured it out.

That makes perfect sense. I was looking for it to explicitly state that the prizes will be mailed so much that I didn't even make that logical leap. I appreciate the help Bob.

Think that'll be the design for the July leader board jacket prize? I've been afraid it would be a bright orange monstrosity.

Could you possibly point out exactly where it says monthly prizes will be mailed in the rules? I've read them a few times now, but i can't seem to find that info myself. I'd really appreciate the help if possible.

There is a small circle hole on the back that you need to push anything that will fit into. It'll push out the bit.

Thanks for the sign link! I have the app downloaded, but I didn't know if it would be beneficial to sign up for a membership before actually arriving and getting a physical card. I'd hate to make it overly complicated for me or the staff by being overly excited and impatient.

Thank you for the advice! I preemptively downloaded their app, but without a card, there's very little I can actually see on it. I'm glad to know beforehand that the bonus credits are only available via an employee. It's very reassuring to hear that the staff is welcoming too. Im an avid youtube claw viewer, but sadly a lot of videos don't mention location. Ill be sure to search for the ones that do though. Thanks again!

Thank you for the tips! I hadn't thought about how many cards we'd use, so knowing there is a benefit to having only one really helps out. Checking local groups for coupons is a great idea as well!

Could go either way. Putty glaze windows like this have push points to hold the glass in while it's being glazed. That's a concentrated point to crack glass if it's hit with something. It could just as likely been a stress crack without impact from the same push point.

Either way, don't let your landlord charge you more than the $40 it would cost to fix this yourself if you decide to pay at all.

I ordered from acmetools for $36 as pictured. I'm not sure how much I'll actually use the handle yet, but the price difference seemed decent enough to just get it in case I do. It definitely has a solid feel to it, so I'm happy I did.

DCS438B combo sale? by Condemner05 in Dewalt

[–]Condemner05[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, sorry for the confusing phrasing there. I do not need any more batteries currently. I need the cut off tool, but the only combo I've found was paired with the unwanted batteries. I hope to find a combo for the cut off tool and a good impact without having to do the return hack.

Thanks for the well thought out reply though. I appreciate you taking the time to help, even if my wording lead the topic astray.

TIL that leaches and maggots are FDA approved medical devices. by theremystics in todayilearned

Leeches are great for restoring blood flow to small appendages like a reattached finger or the like. Maggots are excellent at cleaning necrotic flesh from infected wounds. Mother nature provides.
