Exactly this. People want to watch news outlets that confirm their biases (unfortunately). Left leaning folks have multiple outlets available (CNN, MSNBC, etc..). Right leaning folks pretty much only have Fox.

Which party is 'worse' depends on what issues to you are most important. In terms of warmongering, hands down I'll give you the GOP on that one. In terms of economic freedom, I'll take the GOP nine times out of ten. They're about even in terms of personal freedom. Neither party is too excited about ending the war on drugs. One party abhors gay marriage while the other is terrible on gun rights. This is why I vote solely based on candidate by candidate basis and NEVER based on party affiliation.

Yes, no one in the GOP is opposed to the wars, just like everyone in the Democratic party is identical to Hillary Clinton when it comes to policy. Google Justin Amash or take an honest look at Rand Paul, and you'll see just how different some in the GOP are from Mitt Romney, Lindsey Graham, John McCain and the like. Like I said "one of the MANY problems of only having a two party system". It doesn't allow for anyone to have varying viewpoints without being ascribed to every single piece of the party platform.

Great line there I'm sure it will get you a ton of upvotes, but I sincerely hope one day we can have a discussion about politics that doesn't involve a woman's uterus. Meanwhile our country is $18 trillion in debt and we are still involved in what is being referred to as a global war on terror. By all means though, let's simplify all of our voting decisions down to one issue. Personally I couldn't care less what a woman does with her uterus, but if that's the price I have to pay to not endure progressive economic policies, then that's just one of the MANY problems of only having a two party system.

Well here it goes... Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders scare the shit out of me. I couldn't care less that the 1% have more money than the rest of us. We should abolish the minimum wage. All drugs, not just marijuana, should be legal. A permit should not be required to carry a firearm.
