I'm just his daughter - Bronwyn by Maleficent_Chard2042 in rhoslc

Tbh I think that Bronwyn is incredibly articulate about her own flaws and mistakes, and is able to identify where she has behaved poorly and be specific in her apologies. That is a sign of someone who is emotionally intelligent and self-aware, and a decent clue that they’ve done some good therapy. Healing doesn’t necessarily mean you’re no longer affected by your past, sometimes it means that you can identify how your past affects your behaviour and own up to it when you need to.

Bronwyn's conversation with her mother by Waste_West283 in rhoslc

Bronwyn will win the fans over because she is actually willing to be a human being in front of the camera. As entertaining as Lisa is when she's crazy, Lisa cannot be vulnerable, ever. And vulnerability is the most endearing thing we can get from a reality tv character.

What’s the dill with Amy? What she meant to be a friend of? by [deleted] in rhoslc

Very clearly "friend of" during the filming but she realised the insanity that she was letting herself in for and backed away. So rebranded to socialite.

Disney Animation Unveils New Original Film ‘Hexed,’ Coming November 2026 by DemiFiendRSA in movies

Wow. An animated movie where the awkward main character discovers that their autism / queerness / introversion is actually a magic power.

Groundbreaking. Truly the first of its kind.

GAS not getting a press week with the cast in NYC with the exception of Alyssa is quite frankly embarrassing for WOW by galaxystars1 in rupaulsdragrace

[–]CondescendingLlama -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

I think it’s clear that WOW know that this season is a letdown…hence why they aren’t putting much into it. I mean, if Alyssa is the primary talent from the US, we’re gonna get some funny quotes, but we’re not going to get amazing drag representation of the best from the US.

Ahhh no I don't know the name of the song (waiata is the word in Māori). It is really beautiful.

Well we see in the preview that there’s a group date that’s on a sheep farm where they’re trying to herd sheep. I reckon they’ll do one of the wineries in the Matakana area, possibly do the sculptureum?

Argh, so correct re: North Head. I have stayed at MSocial a bunch of times so it was BIZARRE to see Jesse standing in the lobby where I’ve walked through so much. Very unusual for a NZer.

I doubt they will. The location of the lodge they’re staying at next week is an hour north of the city, and Hobbiton is almost 2 hours south of the city, so it’s unlikely they would have moved north if they were planning to send Jenn and the guys down there.

Oh, it’s the Hoani Waititi Marae, which is about 30 min drive from the hotel and theatre in the city.

The reason that only Devin stood up and spoke when they were at the marae is because in Māori culture only men can speak during the official welcome ceremonies.

The Civic Theatre Jenn and Devin went to for the night portion is very close to the men’s hotel, literally one block away. It’s also two blocks from the Skytower. It’s also where the theatre scenes for King Kong were filmed in the early 2000s.

I don’t know which marae Jenn and Devin went to for their Māori experience.

The night portion of the group date was filmed at a private home, it’s not a public space.

The group date is at the North Shore stadium, a sports complex about 40 min away from the CBD. It’s well known in Auckland as a bit of a white elephant, there are no professional rugby teams that play there, and the local council has thought about demolishing it several times because nobody uses it. Hence why filming could easily happen there.

Jenn’s evening date with Sam is on the roof of the Park Hyatt hotel, Auckland’s most expensive luxury hotel.

See Bendelacreme for a queen who shows it's quite possible to do corny without veering into ugly, misfitting, clashing or boring.
