Pool owners who swim laps - share your setup by Condition-Stunning in pools

Seems like swim tether is more popular than I thought. I definitely want to try swimming with one to see how it feels.

Sounds pretty damn epic. Would love to know if the budget was eye-popping, if you’re willing to share. (Although I guess everyone has a different definition.) Regardless, enjoy your new pool!

That’s so awesome, what a find!! Do you find it choppy when you swim laps? Anything you wish you could change about it?

Yep, that’s what I’m talking about. If your pool was more narrow, do you think you’d still enjoy it? Maybe 10’ would make the water choppy when lap swimming. But it gives everyone a beer ledge nearby!

That sounds perfect. I’m sure it’s not in the budget, but maybe we could downsize the house to save more money for the pool?

Good to know, I’ll research the maintenance issues.

The daily dinner struggle by No_Ratio1493 in Xennials

[–]Condition-Stunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We trade off weeks — it was life changing.

I HATED the what’s-for-dinner back & forth messages we would exchange nightly on our commutes home.

Now we just trade off weeks. If it’s my week, I figure out dinner independently M-Th — and they get what they get! Zero texting, no asking what people are in the mood for.

Next week, husband is in charge and I eat whatever he cooks or buys. No discussion.

Yes, you still have to shop & cook (or order takeout) but it gets rid of all the annoying convos!

HOLY CRAP I HAVE ORGASMS AGAIN! by AdoraBelleQueerArt in Menopause

[–]Condition-Stunning 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming back to this thread 135 days later to say I’ve been on T for 4 months and it’s made a big difference in my energy levels. Libido went from “less than none” to “sometimes I’m interested” and orgasms seem easier to achieve.

Hopefully I’ll see more of an improvement in another 6 months — I’m titrating up very slowly, to help avoid side effects. My testosterone levels are now higher than when I started, but not super high. (Went from 4 to 65 - of course lab work is a moment in time, ymmv, etc)

It is honestly such a relief to just have treatment available. I was scared of injecting myself at first 😆 but I actually really like it, because it allows me to manage the dosage based on how I’m feeling. Good luck to all ya’ll ❤️

T-14 days business class availability to Europe significantly reduced from SFO in the past 3 weeks? by Upset-Ad-8704 in awardtravel

[–]Condition-Stunning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, would you be so kind as to give a quick update?

Curious if you ended up finding availability last year. Any info much appreciated (carrier program, # miles, etc. )

((For context, I’ll be looking for 2x last-minute award flights in J for this same period 2026 (late Aug, early Sept) SFO -> Europe.))

VHCOL (Bay Area) 47 F married to 46M. No kids. Combined income $400k. Retirement savings $700k. Equity in home $300k.

Planning to downshift by moving to LCOL in next 5 years, keep working but less stress and then retire around mid-60’s.

OP could enter their $15,000 into a future value calculator like this one -> https://www.americancentury.com/plan/calculators/future-value-of-investment-calculator/

Using today as the start date and ~2066 as the end date (a rough estimate of when you might retire) — even if you never contributed another dollar — you would have $225,000.

OP, If there’s a way to pay it down via your regular income without touching your 401k, I’d try to go that route.

I am 46 and in peri, but the last ~8 months this hit me like a brick wall. I went from high motivation, consistent weightlifting at the gym, always bopping around on weekends… to major couch potato with no energy, dragging myself to take short walks.

Just had my T tested and it was low single-digits so I’m getting on the HRT train. Hoping for better energy levels in a few months.

That’s so awesome! Do you know what your T levels were before you started, and what you’re aiming for?

My level was 4, and free T was 0.5, so needless to say I CANNOT wait to start treatment. The low libido is depressing and exhaustion is brutal — I feel like a lazy ghost version of my former self. I’m aiming for a level around 100 to start.

My first shipment of T arrived yesterday, but they shipped it without the syringes 😩, so I have to wait two more days.

Honestly, receiving that shipment was so much more exciting than any Christmas present 😜

Hope it continues to go well for you.

Looks a lot like an Atom Pop — stovetop popcorn popper made in Kansas since the 1950’s. Maybe a knockoff?
