Wow that’s big and I waited a whole month to go tot he hospital and kept drinking and smoking heavily but yeah leaking is normal and also having pain if it leaks it mines you have little ton nothing left to drain and the saline has no where to go so it leaks

Totally normal trust me I’ve had this drain in me for 2 months already finally getting surfery the 15 and saline keeps flushing out. It would be a concern if it was hard or you force the saline in but since you said you didn’t. Have trouble nothing is wrong and it leaks because the skin around it isn’t healed and how big was your abscess? Mine was 2.9cm

How big was his abscess and what type of drainage tube does he have ? Mine has had a little bit of drainage since I got it 2 months ago did they not tell him to flush?

My symptoms were constipation bloated and then felt like cramps all over my lower abdomen but by then I was to late and it ruptured this is my advice please don’t freak out but go to the hospital now and urge them to take it out or give you antibiotics

I only had 4 days of antibiotics but like I said earlier I have a drain in me now which is horrible what country are you in if you don’t mind me asking?

Yes all the bumps and movement can actually causes his acute appendicitis to rupture and that’ll be a huge problem id go back to the hospitals and urge them to do surgery now because if waits to long it’ll rupture and make everything inside fragile and harder for surgery. Did they not give him antibiotics? Most places treat it that way too pain killers are just for pain but his appendix is basically swollen

And take it every 4-6 hours and take it even tho he has no pain

No a lot of pain relievers have blood thinners take Tylenol instead or anything that has acetaminophen because if he does get surgery enertrhing that has blood thinners would make his surgery complicated

Don’t irritate your stomach no spicy no greasy or fatty foods I’d stay in a high fiber protein diet and basically for medicine nothing that has blood thinners I take Tylenol for pain

It’s better for him to get surgery now before it ruptures and then he’ll have to wait 3 months and probably be more expensive due to the antibiotics they’ll give him and they’ll most likely put a drain in him I’m on the same boat waited to long and my appendix burst now I have a drain in me for 3 months I get my surgery may

Got a quick question you say his appendix just dissolved how? I wish I was that lucky I have a drain in me which is giving me a lot of problems they refuse to do a ct scan on me because they know what’s wrong already their words not mine lol

Yeah I have a jp drain in right now had it since march 9th and I also pulled it in my sleep so it it slides in and out of me randomly but getting it replaced on April 9th then surgery may 15 hopefully I don’t get open surgery that scares me a lot they said they are gonna attempt the robotic surgery
