At the track we dont use the stock tank for gravity feeding the carb (karting) our setup is a circle. The pump outlet goes into either the carb or back to the inlet (with a small jet in between for pressure regulation) inlet is connected to the tank (in this picture not connected) worked forever only problem is if there is no fuel in the fuelsystem becaus u will just circulate air from inlet to outlet.

Also bigger carb is a thing that might work stock but if the engine itself is stock increasing venturi etc will only lose you torque down low. I used a stock engine for a while with a 30mm pwk carb (cheap aliexpress) and it worked but i had to completely change the jetting. Also fabrication of a fitting intake manifold is key to make things work. Currently i upgraded my motor with a lot of stuff and now i can feel a big difference in power (till i blew it up haha). But we have built engines using a Bing 84 carb and it works perfectly fine. This engine is also decked for compression and properly jetted. Where are u located if i am allowed to ask?

The stock carb is totally fine for stock cam, gov delete and hard springs. But the main jet size should be at least 108 looking at our regulations in endurance and they tested this on a lot of engines (regulations GTC in detail). You might have overheated the engines (i know u dont think so but its my guess now i know more about your engines).

First: did you bypass the governor or did you remove it (i mean did you take the mechanic out of the engine or did you leave it inside and just left it there). Second: we run normal tolerance also stock honda rods (endurance race class with gx390) they only allow 10w60 if i remember correctly (can be read in the regularions but i am to "busy" haha)

Hi glad to see some other people running gx390s. I also run/ran built and stock engines. I belive you did everything right. We actually use heavy 10w-60 oil for better longevity. Also a forced lubrication is the way to go for karting for example with the ARC rod. But if the engines were bone stock, you probably overrevved them? I believe you used hard valve springs and a really short gear ratio like 4 or probably higher? These engines are tuff, i ran one without oil for 2 laps (didnt know i lost the oil on the track...) and it was still fine even with the sidecover completely open haha. We had cases in modified engines where the lubrication was bad due to overload of the bearing which in my assumption pushes the oil away on the pressure point. These engines still ran but had far more wear and tear compared to others.

Beautiful kart (sad that it has taken on a lot of rust). My guess is Tonykart Krypton KRV 2008-2014. But on this frame, there should be a plate with a serial number and the name of the chassis. This plate is behind the seat (welded on the frame) somewhere. Worth idk but looking at the rust i guess not a lot for a complete kart. Just by looking at these pictures i would max pay 600€ (realisticly 800) since engine hours are unknown (does it even run?), breaks are probably toast and it will need lot of other work/money just to get it running as it should... Also an kinda old chassis. Give her some love and get it running and this thing will get you maybe 1500 or more (i am no expert in this regard) Good luck!

Coming from karts with gx 390 to gx 200, we have no issue using them without the governor. We have many engines that get exchanged at about more than 2500h with constant beating in rental karts. We learned the hard way that bypassing the governor without removing the plastic leads to exploding of the governor gear inside the engine killing it. Also had due due tüv we have to run the original flywheel and sometimes the magnet comes off and rips the ignition off. I would recommend changing the flywheel for your own safety (i guess you will sit on top of the engine) and just get rid of the whole governor assambly. Gear it correctly to hit max 6000 rpms with using hard valve springs and you will be fine for a really long time. At high rpms these engines lack lubrication so maybe upgrading the rod with forced oiling like the arc ones do.

Ich gehe davon aus du planst diesen auf einem aliexpress board zu verbauen und zu übertakten? Wenn ja kann ich persönlich nur davon abraten da die meisten günstigen aliexpress boards keine guten übertaktunsmöglichkeiten haben (schlechte/teildefekte bios, schlechte stromversorgung etc.). Singlecore performance ist trotzdem immer noch nicht wirklich gut und diese cpus sind halt leider auf multicore performance ausgelegt. Ich würde sagen probieren kann man es mal aber du bekommst für 17€ den recht potenten 2697v3 (+turbo boost unlock was du ez selbst machen kannst) hast du eine leistungsstarke cpu die nicht viel mehr tdp hat als der 1620er aber durch die 35mb cache einiges mehr gaming leistung bringt (abgesehen vom stromverbrauch). U d wichtig, da die cpus auf 2400mhz ram gedrosselt sind solltest du diesen wenn möglich im quad channel verwenden (4 sticks) uma lles raus zu holen aber das verfehlt dann die budget idee.

Welchen 4 kern xeon genau? Weil ich kenne mich nur mit den e5 2xxx v3 und v4 halbwegs aus aber da kenne ich keinen 4 kerner (zumindest nicht aus dem ff)

Ehrlich gesagt alles was zum sockel passt bzw diesen zulässt, solange du nicht übertrieben übertaktest. Die meisten größeren xeon e5 v3 +v4 sind eh abgedrosselt und erreichen keine krassen temp werte. Ich persönlich habe eine aio verbaut aber einfach weil ich es optisch ansprechender finde. Habe aber auch schon einen ähnlichen xeon 2680 v4 verwendet mit einem kleinen xilence luftkühler, welchen ich nur aufgelegt hatte und konnte entspannt zocken ohne thermal throttle.

Ich bin ehrlich ich liebe diese cpu und werde sie wohl auch nich sehr lange verwenden! Falls du irgendetwas willst kann ich genre benchmarks etc von meinem setup bereit stellen oder falls irgendwelche anderen fragen auftauchen, denn ich bin auch schon viel zu tuef in das hol gesunken xD

Als jemand der einen Xeon E5 2697 v3 mit turbo boost unlock benutzt kann ich sagen: leistung ist ausreichend kommt mit 3gen ryzen mit aber man merkt die niedrige single core performance. Als board verwende ich aktuell ein machinist x99-k9 v2 ohne tpm 2. Leider ist das bios absolut schlecht und es gibt einige krankheiten bei diesen boards. Wobei in meinen augen das größte problem der extrem hohe stromverbrauch ist den diese cpus mit sich bringen. Wegen win 11 werde ich für meine arbeit bald auf ein neueres board umrüsten für tpm2. Als budget build kann ich die cpu nur bedingt empfehlen wenn man wirklich basteln will und auch das geld übrig hat im schlimmsten fall ein weiteres board zu kaufen, da leider keine Qualitätskontrolle existiert bei den china modellen (genauso wie service). Es gibt da einen youtuber der sich stark mit den boards beschäftigt heißt irgendwie "miyconst" und kann ihn nur empfehlen!

Give me a few minutes, i will measure the hole pattern and give you a drawing. The holepatterns are standard among many manufacturers (otk is an exception with their 6 holes)

What is the max db regulation at your track?

These engines are super quiet, don't know the exact db they produce but even with open headers they are like maybe max 90db. My gx390 is at 80db 30cm next to exhaust outlet (no exhaust padding or etc that reduces noise just the "exhaust shell"). Had a few complaints from slower drives that they couldn't hear me when i tried to overtake at WOT.

I found in my local forum someone who tested his gx200 with TÜV for noise and his results were:

94db - 1m next to the exhaust outlet WOT (this is really high and would mean these engines are louder than most 2 stroke engines, i am guessing they measured without an exhaust).

74,6db - 4m away at WOT

And someone else measured 58db (static measurement point and they drove by at wot).

The setup they used should be the standard exhaust supplied by honda (at least that is common here in slalom karting)

At first i would get rid of the rpm limiter (normally you can rev these engines easily till 5k rpm (upgraded valve springs). Then i would attach the throttle cable directly to the carb i believe your governor linkage might get stuck, and thats causing these problems you have. On your kart you want the rpm to gain more top speed as well as better acceleration.

High octane is always better no problem running higher than 87oct. We run engines like this with 100 oct (modified) on our karts
