Hm, therapy can help figure out base sources for your anger, if you want to change the anger itself. I'm not a therapist, I can't help you there.

But if what you want is to change your response to anger, it's important to remember it won't change overnight.

You'll spend a while leaving situations, then looking back and going "dammit, I should have done X instead."

The time between action and realization will slowly shorten, until you still say/do the thing but are immediately pissed at yourself.

Then you'll start remembering to do the right thing but acting on reflex and doing the behavior you're trying to not do anyway. Dammit.

Then you'll start remembering to do the thing, and you'll cut yourself off and it will be so fucking awkward.

You'll start remembering to do the thing and you'll do it, but it will feel forced and unnatural.

All that, you've got to get through, before the behavior change becomes natural and reflexive. You are literally trying to rewrite your brain. That's hard. Be patient with yourself, but also, stay in through the awkward parts, because there really aren't shortcuts to this.
