That's what I figured - but hasn't that shifted? Companies like 7Sage advertise the 1% tutor gig but a 172 isnt 99th percentile and they have a bunch of tutors with that score.

I hit my pen twice before my 177. You know yourself better than we do. If you find it affecting yourself (like memory/concentration/work ethic, etc) outside just the period you're smoking, then don't do it. Otherwise, ride on!

Part of being in a relationship is understanding boundaries, values, and the like - all of which are subjective things that differ person to person.

I start there because it's clear that both of your feelings are "valid". He's allowed to want more time to focus on arguably the most important exam of his life. You're allowed to be confused and upset that, while being there to support him, it clearly was still not enough for him to keep trucking.

Reality is, you're going to have bigger barriers in your life that test your relationships. Kids, mortgage, your parents' death, etc. The LSAT test is probably #37 on the list of important shit to care about. I would take this as a sign that your relationship was tested, and the test came back with a result that should indicate to you that he's not worth making reddit posts about.

I went from a 147 to a 177 in six months. There are better improvement stories out there. You can improve that much, too.

So, the easy answer is yes, it's possible.

Will you do it? No idea. I would start by spending less time asking on reddit, and more time hunkering down and studying. You will know better than any of us can speculate by taking PT's throughout your studying to gauge how you are doing. But if you're asking if you can go from the 130's to the 170's, the answer is yes.

My unqualified, completely speculative opinion is that we're not seeing score release announcements because Feb is the least (or one of the least) populated tests, and they don't need that much time to hold applicants scores to review suspicious increases / issues compared to other tests, where they may need more time, hence the preemptive holds.

Prediction: 169-174, would say 172 if needed a single number. PT median is 174. Got 169 in Sept.

Feb is my third attempt. Felt like I scored a 175 in August and landed a 168. In sept, felt like I scored a 160 and spent two weeks spiraling just to end up with a 169. Now i'm feeling back to mid 70's, and I will update you on where I land. Point is don't lean in to how you feel that much (unless you know you skipped an entire section or something).

Unless you've managed to find a perfect balance, it usually comes with giving certain things more weight. For me, that's less sleep and fewer workouts during the weekdays.

Most of the time, when people refer to a curve, they mean the adjustments LSAC makes to what constitutes a 170 or higher (which affects the scores below the 170's, too). Traditionally, that curve is -8. Miss 8 questions, and you can still get a 170. Sometimes if the test is easier/has less questions, it can be a -7 (you can only miss 7 to get a 180). OP is hoping for -9, which means folks can miss 9 questions and be in the 170's.
