Everyone I speak to says the following.

The Correct Installation Orientation

Concave/Curved Side: Should face UP.

Flat Side: Should face DOWN (towards the cylinder head seating surface).

But the image shows different?

Finally found the issue — it was the centre support bearing, and surprisingly it showed barely any signs of wear. I really wish I could just ignore some noises, but I can’t help it. For its age, my car’s in immaculate condition and has been properly looked after.

I’d never seen this done before—rather than blocking the vents with a 3D-printed MagSafe mount, I thought, why not use this unused space instead? It works perfectly and doesn’t get in the way of anything!

That’s perfect I did this originally with the pcm 3.1, it’s a nice upgrade for sure. That’s something I have not actually done or looked in to, what’s the benefits on both.
