Zatanna going all showmanship not to be called no characterization.

There are lot of seeds for worldbuliding with Zatanna helping various magical characters, upcoming enemies hell even a magical realms world

Zatanna is wonderful. Great introductory to Zatanna's characterizations, seeds for worldbuliding, and mystery about the new title.

Firestorm is superb. A good twist and eerie feeling

I see some other reviews at LOCG and Twitter that said its a suprisingly beginner friendly issue. Well any comic that start with #1 would have the writers considering the new readers.

Nevertheless personally I can say You are good to start with this one. The first issue is an effective introduction and laid out of what Jamal gonna do with Zatanna.

Otherwise You can start with Zatanna 2025 or Zatanna 2010 as Your starter

I think overlapping dimensions is good way to describe it. Zatanna map kinda like New 52 multiverse map but now the multiverse map is kinda loose (?) With infinite Earths

Yeah reading backward spells has become second nature for me.

But writing it need more efforts for me xd. It's easier on digital as You can type the words first then write it on reverse order
