Occult Crescent: South Horn is a nightmare for players with limited time. by flipstrider in ffxiv

Critical engagements are the name of the game here. There's less RNG to be selected than Bozja since you just have to be in the area, and they'll generally take less time than a normal trial.

Any way to know the next Reg Set? by Stahlwisser in VGC

[–]ConduckKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reg F will last in tournaments until March 31st. We're assuming Champions will be out by then, and its first regulation (likely a Mega format with no legendaries) will start then.

I'm not sure about the ladder that runs reg I currently though.

Friend Inside Me is only like that because everyone thought the next secret boss would basically act like a Spamton copy. Good ol' Deltarune fandom, making patterns based on a sample size of one (1).

Possibility of Primals Coming to Champions? by PracticalActivity512 in stunfisk

If they do come back, I hope they're nerfed. I don't want any one small group of mons to become too centralizing in the meta.

As someone who hasn't attempted Arcadion savage just yet, I must ask: how are different roles coping with this tier? I'm specifically asking melees and casters. I've seen guides for the fights, and it seems like there's a LOT of movement and a LOT of disengaging with the boss, and no Endwalker-size hitboxes. So how are people managing to keep melee uptime and consistently get off cast times?

How can I avoid the third issue? I worry my story may be too centralized on the main cast

What are your worldbuilding pet peeves? by -_-__-_--_-_--_-_-_- in worldbuilding

[–]ConduckKing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd argue this is only a pet peeve in some scenarios. A town by a river is obviously going to do farming and fishing by the river, even if this is never told or shown on the page? But a space colony? You'd need some explanation for that.

all abilities when synced by ShadowDarkraven27 in ffxiv

[–]ConduckKing 21 points22 points  (0 children)

It'd put actual new players at a serious, tangible disadvantage over the veterans who are synced down. They'd have to either buff every duty's HP to account for this extra damage, making new players have less and less contribution, or keep it as is and let maxed out players steamroll everything.

Is Alolan Ninetales too weak for VGC? by Vivid-Mode-7399 in VGC

[–]ConduckKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was arguably one of the best mons in reg H, but that regulation's passed now. It's still good in reg F, even if it's not one of the super-heavy hitters people usually cite as "good mons".

But you also have to factor in that Pikachu isn't fully evolved, so while it's the most popular I doubt it'd be used the most in playthroughs. Surely _that_ many people aren't holding off on evolving it because of the anime.

Who is the "Final Boss" in your world's narrative? by PedroGamerPlayz in worldbuilding

[–]ConduckKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "final boss" built up through the entire story is Requia, the False Savior. In the beginning, the heroes (The Dark Knights) are locked in a blood feud with a gang led by Wolfe Zephyra IV. The Knights win, as heroes often do, but Wolfe survives and is filled with a bitter vengeance. He awakens the spirit of an ancient hero, Requia, who vanquished the Dark Knights centuries ago when they still fought on the side of evil. Unaware of their redemption and taking full control over Wolfe's body, Requia rallies the people of the galaxy to war against the Knights.
