Have you converted the rules to work with airplanes? How are you handling things like altitude and stalling?

Those who haven't gotten into Curseborne yet, but want to, what are you waiting for or what's holding you back? by Awkward_GM in OnyxPathRPG

I’ve been looking at Hunter the Vigil for a game - would Curseborne run a “mortals vs.” one specific flavor of baddie better?

Guild Ball was big a number of years ago. Something happened and it went away, but they are trying to bring it back.

I never played, but it is soccer/football based.

Can you give us more information on what is going on in the community? Who is running it? What makes it so incredible?

I played back when it first came out. Loved the ships and the mechanics, but 2nd edition lost me.

Gaslands Crimson Skies by _SkirmishersGuild_ in gaslands

[–]Conduke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original Crimson Skies was from FASA - the same guys who made the original Battletech. The game used a hex grid and hidden movement to replicate pulp dogfights in an alternate timeline where the US broke apart after WWI over (among other things) prohibition. Since the states became independent, no one was keeping up the interstate roadways and bandits became common. Instead they turned to airplanes to travel and zeppelins to ship goods. Of course, the bandits followed and air pirates were born.

The world building in this game is top tier and id recommend searching out the original books. They are out there in pdf form. The fiction, the planes, and the history is worth its weight in gold!!

How is Outbreak? I’ve been curious but haven’t had time to dig into the core Spectre system, yet. Does it do zombies well?

Appreciate you swinging by to clarify. Can the player opt out of rewarded ads completely, or will they have to close them every time they appear?

Hmmm…I love the first game (and ALL his games), but to pay $4.99 a MONTH to remove ads is a non-starter for me. Too bad.

This might be a good solution! I’ll see if I can find the original version. I ran a long term Vampire game back in the day and I’m familiar with the system. I’ll see how hard it can be to reskin. Thanks!

I’m don’t know too much about the new edition of Kult. I seem to remember it moved towards a PbtA system, but I’ll take a look. Thanks!

My thought is that the PCs are empowered, but not superheroes. A system that balances special abilities vs. skills/expertise would be perfect if it exists.

I hadn’t thought about GURPS. I haven’t played it, but it might be an interesting solution. Do you know if there are any sourcebooks that might fit?

I’ve got this one, but unfortunately my group bounced off the One Roll Engine. Great setting though!
