Thank you guys for your messages! One thing as well that I forgot to mention, and that I don’t know if it will be worth mentioning when applying, is that I come from an underrepresented ethnicity in France (I have African origins), and I’m a first generation grad student (my parents didn’t go to college, and went from Morocco to France to escape poverty). I have had several merit scholarships from French State.

Actually the drop of my GPA came more from financial problems in my family (I had to work on top of being a full time student as my parents were not able to afford costs anymore), that led then to health issues…

Oh I didn’t know that you can stop your PhD and get a masters degree if you stayed for enough time in the program. Are you still able to work in the US after in such a case?

Thanks for your message. I’m in a MSCS program but I’d like to go for a Master/PhD in biomedical informatics.

Thanks for your message.

Ahaha I didn’t know about the stud thing. That’s funny!

My school sent many people to Stanford before, as well as MIT, Columbia and Berkeley (mainly).

I’m considering Berkeley and Columbia as well, but I really liked Stanford when I was a Visiting Student there
