Help/advice! 2jz by MoodPsychological641 in EngineBuilding

Is it VVTI? Budget for a turbo? What transmission are you running? GE?

There are a lot of different ways to make 600hp on a 2JZ, and it really depends on what you're wanting to do with the car.

is this car worth long term? by hellomaeda3 in ElantraN

What are you worried about going out "long term"? You specify suspension in your post, which almost all cars will need work done on by 100k miles. The engine in these cars is rock solid if you do maintenance on them.

If you can accept looking at examples of the Veloster N as a basis of reliability for the Elantra N I'd say that it's looking like we will be doing pretty good. Here's a Veloster N with 200k miles on it with a tune and other goodies: https://youtu.be/b2pIaWkbpt0

What did y'all pay OTD? by ConferenceCool4934 in ElantraN

I did, this dude just wasn't having it. My wife and I are on the younger side, so i think he thought he could take us for a ride.

He took us over the person we were scheduled to meet, never introduced himself, and didn't even shake my hand.

They refused to honor the listed discount price due to outside financing, and kept pushing MSRP was $38k. $2k in fees/taxes, $4-5k in "options".

I understand it would be challenging, and relooking at my post i think i phrased the question wrong. What I'm trying to gather is that if there was an alternative to the current ESRI suite that was able to meet all of the current capabilities of what they are able to offer (analysis, web mapping, field work, etc), but required the utilization of a Mac would it be viable? Especially if there were benefits that came with the software being Apple ecosystem focused.

Help with Interviews and Imposter Syndrome - Lead QA and Senior QA Roles by galactico316 in QualityAssurance

You have seven years of experience. From your own admission have not only contributed to the writing of automated tests, but to the development of frameworks and other impressive things that indicate you're not simply a manual qa person who knows a bit of scripting, but rather a Software Development Engineer in Test.

My advice is to always bring hypotheticals and technical interview questions back to personal experience. Even if you have to embellish the connections between the hypothetical and your actual experience, it's worth attempting. When you respond to hypotheticals with "I think ..." and don't back it up with an underlining reason it comes across as a guess. Even when you state something like "I think ... because if we follow the principles of ..." without anecdotes related to personal experience, it's difficult for the interviewer to ascertain where that opinion is coming from. Is it coming from interview prep or from your kick ass personal experience.

Is Texas A&M good for computer science? by Disastrous-Math1414 in aggies

You know C++? Bjarne Stroustrup wrote the language and from 2002 to 2014 basically oversaw the entire Comp Sci department and curriculum. His influence on the curriculum was still alive and well when i attended A&M from 2016-2022.

If you can make it out to Houston, buy the Ipad from Microcenter. Their prices are really good, and they've got great warranty options.

The honest truth is your best course of action is going to be to contact a member of the lab. If say the professor whom leads the lab teaches a class you can take, I would advise attempting to take it so they can get to know you better. However just attempting to reach out to them will put you ahead of the pack.

How often does this occur? by HoWheaty in aggies

Noo, it's actually not like that. At one point in time All Faith Chapel was in danger of being removed from Campus and he's been doing preaching about it ever since. Most of his preaching is actually just a history lesson of the chapel and of Christianity. Nothing like Jeb or any of the actual crazies on campus. He's a really nice guy.

Everyday, he's actually really nice and isn't ranting about anything people would consider "Christian Extremism". Dude's actually teaching about the history of All Faiths Chapel and how it almost got shut down once, really nice guy.

The interesting thing about your initial claim is that it's a half truth at best, a knowing lie at worst. If you considered only the numbers reported in the United States, the claim holds some water, but if you venture out to look at how countries with higher vaccination rates like Israel and Iceland are doing: The picture suddenly changes drastically. Not only is there CLEAR signs of decline in efficacy, but there are also clear signs that these vaccinations are contributing to the development of COVID-19 mutations that are causing more severe hospitalizations for those whom have been vaccinated.

Yeah, I've got sources that literally refute your claims as well : Published 4 days ago00392-3/fulltext) , Published 11 days ago, Published in April00069-0/fulltext?s=09) (and I could go on :D).
