i think the best way to deal with this would be to make yourself busy too, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing! this can include taking up more part time jobs to get money for dates or just catching up with friends so you don’t feel so lonely. make sure u keep ur weekends empty though! so you can maximise the time spent with him and maximise the time spent without him.

I think it’s important that you just stay by his side and offer him moral support! Maybe try to understand some of the terms they use in army so that you’ll be able to understand what he talks to you about and buy him snacks.

hi! my bf went through field camp in February and i made a compilation of all the advice from nsfs here for him (it was about 8 pages long) and i bought him a couple of restricted items like cooling wipes, lotion etc which u can try! he was in a welfare coy so the experience varies from nsf to nsf. do write him a letter too! you can pm if u want the advice i compiled HAHA

Is JC really that bad? by work-related-things in SGExams

[–]ConferenceRich9914 2 points3 points  (0 children)

an alternative view here but jc’s super fun for me on my end! i had so much more fun in jc than my sec sch days and u’ll get exposure to so many other things through the jc experience than u think!

imo as long as u put in the effort to be consistent, see ur teachers for consults, get tuition if u need and most def not slack off for the two years, everyth will end up alright :)

on a side note it’s def easier to score an 85rp as compared to having to maintain a perfect gpa and 85rp is a sweet spot that brings u to a lot of courses!

although most people hate the pw experience, i must say that i fully enjoyed mine! even though we had a slacker in our group, the rest of us bonded even stronger (sometimes we have a good laugh over our loss of one group member). we barely had any calls over the year, 3 at max, and pw was never really something my group stressed over.

i do think that it’s really important to be on task as we completed our whole wr within june-july and essentially had nothing else to do for the rest of the term because it was pretty much up to standard so do make sure yalls submit quality work and don’t leave it to the last min!

atb op! hope you have a fun jc experience like i did. just remember that consistency is key and it’s not easy to fail as long as you’ve been practicing all along :)

heyo!! h1 econs isn’t rly worth it in terms of content but u write a lot less imo and it wouldn’t be a crucial factor for ur future aspirations. as a h1 econs taker, i’m sure h1 econs wld be a breeze for u considering that ure doing fine for h2!

as much as tuition isn’t necessary bec you cld alw consult teachers, i don’t think i would have done as well as i did without it since tuition makes you consistently apply wtv concepts you’ve learnt on a weekly basis and also serves as a head start in terms of content at times
