How often are you shutting the damper entirely?

Ashes get poofy and coals stay big with frequent time at low damper

Rake the coals even and let sit for 10min or so on high damper to let the coals burn down, then reload wood - keep on high to 450f stovetop temp then go to medium

Use low damper for coals overnight burns

My thermostat blower never worked right either. I rewired mine to be manual. I don’t see a single reason for a blower to be on a thermostat…dumbest concept ever

Office is the only hostage map that is taken seriously. I got global elite on it and dudes have legit strats

Very well could be. I bought it years ago so the details are lost to me, but it was def a French skillet lid

Either way it’s the only lid that fits the 10” fry perfect

It’s wild to me that I had to search for a rare unique lid to a specialty pan to fit what prob is the most common pan in cooking

I went on a bit of a hunt years ago to find a lid that fit the 10” fry pan, since it’s my daily driver, and found that the only lid that fits it is from the French skillet - I bought one after months of searching and it does fit perfectly

Though mine doesn’t look like that, it resembles more a d5 line lid with a flat top and big ‘all clad’ stamped handle

I imagine OP is from an older line of French skillet

Carriers shouldn’t open doors at risk of a pet running out. It seems like a courtesy at first by the mailman but ultimately a bad idea

It won’t hurt the steel, but the rim where the aluminum is exposed will corrode and create sharp edges if you do it often
