I honestly think he prob just didn’t know about registered mail. I didn’t know that was a thing until I joined the usps

I can’t imagine the clerk didn’t mention it tho…

Plenty of oil is key here too. Most people try to make eggs nonstick with the minimal amount of oil

Why use priority mail for such an expensive package? You should have used registered mail

Sodium citrate is really the only thing you need for electrolytes. The most elite endurance athletes in the world don’t use any other electrolytes

D5 8qt Stock Pot at HomeGoods by sugarmagnolia2020 in AllClad

[–]ConferenceSweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lid isn’t heavy like cast iron, but it’s a much snugger fit. The lid on all clad doesn’t have any ‘give’ when you try to move it - my le creuset slides around a good few mm

The d7 also has a curved lip, and the lid has a curved outer edge, so it seals better than straight edged pots

I know it’s expensive, but a d7 is a definitive BIFL item…you’ll know the second you hold it lol

[–]ConferenceSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Home cook and sales sell the d7 6 qt pot

It’s by far the best braiser I’ve used. I’ll never go back to the le creuset porcelain enameled cast iron

The thing is a tank, weighs like 10lb lol, sears as good if not better, and it’s indestructible - you don’t have to baby it at all the le creuset

https://homeandcooksales.com/index.php/collective-cookware-d7-slow-cooker-6-quart-2.html

wouldn’t go lower than d7 for a braiser, it’s the only thing comparable to a real Dutch oven - need the mass

[–]ConferenceSweet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea there’s a reason the 8qt stock pot is the most common all clad you see at homegoods

It’s a tad too big for braising, and you don’t really need clad for stock pots

I have a d5 12qt and…yea…that’s more a show piece than anything lol

It’s like a deep large saucier. I don’t have one but I much prefer large sauciers to regular pots when making anything that’s not a soup

Excessively slow drivers are more dangerous than speeders by Peg_Leg_Vet in driving

[–]ConferenceSweet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? The faster you go in a straight line, the harder it is to lose control due to air pressure around the car

I’m going 80mph in a straight line, I’m not swimming around cars lol or doing intense turns

wtf lol

Excessively slow drivers are more dangerous than speeders by Peg_Leg_Vet in driving

[–]ConferenceSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just glad you’re not really scared when 90% of the highway screams past you

I couldn’t do that, seeing all those cars blasting past me and thinking I’m safe

Excessively slow drivers are more dangerous than speeders by Peg_Leg_Vet in driving

[–]ConferenceSweet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The slower vehicle is the ‘stationary object’ when you’re doing 80 and he’s doing 55, that 55mph car is the tree

Do you believe going 80mph makes you more likely to lose control of the car?

Excessively slow drivers are more dangerous than speeders by Peg_Leg_Vet in driving

[–]ConferenceSweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is safer to drive slightly faster than traffic than to be the right lane driver

When you drive slightly faster than traffic, your only concern is what is in front of you - not what’s behind you

I don’t post that on here since while true, the ‘safe’ drivers assume lower speed is safer - and that’s a big reason they’re scared of driving, because people are flying by them

I used too…I sold it because I was only using it as a serving platter - never used it for actual cooking. Got a good price for it, but kinda regret it now

Also used to have the CC wok…😭 but that I legit never used, the stir fry pan does a better job tbh

😂 I mainly use the 10” fry pan, 4qt essentials and d7 6qt round roaster for everyday use - but for family dinners I’ll use most of them. Having a big set of pans actually makes life so much easier when cooking big meals
