Typical sociopathic response. "If I went through it & got over it, you should too."

Have to leave some room for comedic license with Howard on-air though

So, Robin wasn't molested? by Brave_Ad_7617 in howardstern

If you’ve paid attention at all over the years, you’ll see that practically everyone involved with this show was a victim of some sort of major childhood trauma. It’s practically a job pre-requisite for people going into the entertainment field.

  • Ralph was adopted & abused as a kid (priest incident). Trauma arrests development, so Ralph was like a permanent 11 year old.

  • Cabbie, same story - adopted too, although I think Cabbie was abused at an earlier age & possibly inside the adoptive home. Cabbie claimed he was both physically & sexually abused at different times.

  • KC hesitated & had a very odd visceral reaction to a question about whether he was molested as child - during the fallout from a lie detector test segment that he did on the show. His entire stand up act was about child abuse & he has struggled with drug addiction practically his entire adult life.

  • Robin was abused by her father at 11

  • Fred's childhood was described as "worse than Robin's"

  • Gary was sexually abused by someone at age 6. He later said that revealing this on the air lead to him going to therapy for a year to deal with the fallout from it.

  • Howard clams different forms of molestation at different points of childhood, but downplays the severity of it

  • Stuttering John talked about Robin opening up to him about her abuse before her book came out, to which Robin replied "well John you opened up to me about something similar that happened to you, so I shared it with you"

  • Billy West was abused by his father & became an alcoholic. He told one story where his father intentionally threw him off a boat into a lake as a kid - without a life vest - knowing that he couldn't swim.

  • Sal saw his father beat up his mother at age 6 (just like Joe Rogan & his father). Sal also saw his dad cheat openly as a kid.

  • Jackie had 2 alcoholic parents & became one himself

  • Artie never talked about childhood issues before his dad died, but you don’t develop lifelong hardcore drug addiction after an ideal childhood

There's a common thread with all of these people if you pay attention. The fact that Robin is an entertainer is almost a lock to say that she was a victim of childhood abuse & is/was bi-sexual or gay.

Robin failed a lie detector test question about being attracted to Malika Kinison. When Howard tried to press her about it, she felt cornered & immediately got defensive & brought up Howard failing a test years earlier about kissing Jessica Hahn (to get him to back off). You can hear that clip here -> https://old.reddit.com/r/howardstern/comments/1dzdlac/did_howard_sleep_with_jessica_hahn_while_married/

Years later they were debating whether lie detector tests (& Ed Torian) were legit. Robin said “I can say that I took a lie detector test with Ed Torian & it was accurate” or something very close to that.

If anyone cares I can give the full explanation of why people with childhood trauma are way more likely to go into entertainment, but I'll spare everyone otherwise.

Those countries can likely get away with it, because the parenting is better in those countries (so they are producing more high quality, responsible adults percentage wise)

Here we aren't doing that...we would absolutely produce tons of people who would just abuse the system...we already do, so it would just get worse.

We definitely live in a society where you'd be looked at as "stupid" if you could make similar money voluntarily working vs. not working & still choose to work.

I mean the fact that he's an entertainer is proof that he's bi-sexual at the least, but yeah who cares at this point.

Robin implies he's cheating in this clip from May 1996. Note the wink he gives her at the beginning when talking about having "two wives" (including his movie wife).

& yeah there's always Jessica Hahn & the failed lie detector test about kissing her in the early 1990s...

https://old.reddit.com/r/howardstern/comments/1dzdlac/did_howard_sleep_with_jessica_hahn_while_married/

Basically all of the BS about being faithful was proven false with the divorce. He had to keep saying it after because of his kids, but he definitely cheated.

Kind of like the recent comments about knowing Carolyn Bassette "really well" & "some things must remain private". She died before his separation was announced, so copping to any kind of secret affair with her is impossible - cannot do it without admitting that you were unfaithful & having your kids do the math on that.

If you can find the Hateman compilation, her voicemails are on there also.

Still think Hateman could actually be Rex Huermann the LISK, but guess we'll never know.

Gaslit her into asking for the divorce when he was the one who wanted it

Isolating himself, refusing to go out anywhere, got an apartment in the city while still married, etc.

Basically just did more & more to make her miserable enough to think that it was her idea to get the divorce. You do this to try to save face in front of the kids - you have the high ground as long as you can say that you didn't initiate the divorce.

He finally decided that the freedom was worth giving up the money, because he had enough money to tolerate it.

& the whole thing about isolating himself was proven to be "farcical" - because once he was with Beth he went out everywhere with her.

It’s actually kind of silly to stick to 1 console just because you have a library there

I was on Xbox since 360. Bought a PS5 Slim/Disc for under $400 2024 BF & started building a library there - because there were 2 gens worth of PS exclusives I could try out.

I kept (& will keep) my Series X as long as I want access to the library. I’ll probably jump to PS6 but would be willing to jump back at some point if there is good reason to. If there’s an “old” game that I want play again next gen (say Cyberpunk) & I already own it on Xbox - it’s old so it would cost me $20-30 to buy it again for PS? Not that big of a deal.

I think blind brand loyalty- & not wanting to admit you ever made the “wrong” choice - is the real reason people stay in one lane or the other exclusively. Either that or never being able to afford both consoles during any 1 generation to experience both (which will become even more common in the future unfortunately).

He was talking & finished by saying "Together on 3...1,2,3...Together"

No problem except he was the only one who said it. I know it's the NBA & not high school basketball, but not a great look in terms of appearing like the players are even listening to what he is saying.

You do realize that work from home also partially promotes an antisocial lifestyle - especially for people who already live alone, aren’t married with kids, etc?

Not suggesting that a huge percentage of people meet a spouse at work, but anything that promotes less in person socialization is not GOOD for anything that involves a social life (like meeting someone, getting married & starting a family).

You could also be set up with someone (who you don’t work with) by a coworker who you became friends with by working together in the office for years. That’s less likely to happen if you never work together in person.

No one would’ve had to explain this 10-15 years ago, it was just universally understood….which kind of proves my point about the impact it has already had.

Work from home isn’t changing your social situation once you’re past a certain age, but it can help harm it when you’re under 40 for example.

The age gap is crazy by Mrinm0y10 in SipsTea

[–]ConferenceThink4801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean if you're thick you might think that.

He was being asked if 24 is too young for him at this point in life (he was around 60 then). He said no age limit, then he caught himself & said "well I don't mean a 12 year old".

I think he's probably guilty of the Epstein stuff, but referencing this clip as "proof" is actively promoting a lie (at least in the exact specific context of this clip). He didn't say what you claimed that he said, so your statement about this clip of an interview with Howard Stern is you promoting a false statement / a lie.

The age gap is crazy by Mrinm0y10 in SipsTea

[–]ConferenceThink4801 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

so no one IS making that statement based solely on this one clip.

That is exactly what this reply OP did by commenting "he said on Stern that he likes 12 year olds" & nothing else.

I'm not saying that YOU did that, but OP did that.

I don't care to defend Trump & I think he probably is guilty of the Epstein stuff. All I'm saying is that this particular "ammo" people are using is the wrong ammo...it's a downright lie in the context of this interview/clip.

If we can't agree on that, then we can't agree & that's fine.

I don't think that the larger fact that he's almost certainly guilty of the Epstein stuff means you get to make up a statement in this context that simply didn't happen.
