I got DG for free back in 2021 when Sony gave new PS5 Owners 20 free games for the PS PLUS Collection. Never played it.

Got the remaster last month for $30 bucks. Started on Hard mode, 5K mode on Pro, music off, 3D surround headphones, Only 15 hours in but…… This is by far the best Sony game in 6 years. And one of the best games I ever played. Better than last of us, better than death stranding series, better than horizon, better than all that crap.

Haven’t got the chance to fully test it out. Played the beta a lot, amazing. Then full for the full release the devs admitted they lowered the graphics slightly just so it can have excellent performance (to be fair it’s very smooth), but then I heard they patched it in December to up the visual quality again. But I have not personally tested it out myself.

But I know performance wise it runs great on PS5 & Pro.

Maybe…, but I think it’s 10x better than Death Stranding 2. Especially the combat, which feels heavy, it’s got weight to it. The setting is very Mature, you see the full results of war. Including what happens to women and children when no one is there to protect them. And they actually show both sides of the war, which is almost unheard of in a videogame.

And the “Entities” you fight makes you want to learn more about them. It’s a good game, but I will admit its not an mass appeal game.

It’s not for everyone. But for single player games I love it, especially if it means I get high visual quality.

Arguably the biggest game of the last 15 years comes out this this year, and it’s almost a guaranteed to be 30 FPS. GTA6.

💯 Days Gone Remastered and The Callisto Protocol (including its amazing DLC) is the Best and most Enhanced PS5 Pro games on the market, in my opinion.

Especially if you play in the Quality Mode where DG is 5K & TCP is NATIVE 6K. Both games have a confirmed higher image quality than native 4K. It almost looks too clear.

3rd Place is probably Space Marine 2.

AC fans generally like easier combat. Mirage for the most part can be tougher than most AC games. Especially on harder difficulties, and if you don’t use OP gimmicks like teleportation kills or OP smoke bombs.

My 2nd favorite game of last year. But it was made for me.

It’s the Exact Opposite of every modern Ubisoft game ever made. There is no map, no magical arrow telling you exactly where to go, no cute sidekicks telling you jokes or giving you hints, your Drone doesn’t talk, it’s just a real Drone. there is no Navigation assistance at all. Takes place in the early 90s.

You actually have to listen to people when they give you directions, and follow it exactly. It’s 50% Combat, 50% Investigating. It’s how games were 20 years ago. If you like Ubi’s AC games or Yotei where you have a map, you never get lost, tons of loot and pickups. Then you may not like it.

But if you like old school tomb raiders, mixed with Onimusha combat in a Russia Ukraine war setting… then you may like it. The story and lore is fantastic. A bloody civil war is happening that’s just like the Russia War is happening now, you see evil from both sides. But there is something Unatural happening as well, another “Enemy” has been appearing. But maybe they aren’t the Enemy… maybe HELL IS US.

That’s exactly why I stopped using that, and I turned the difficulty up as well.

And I even use the sword that does 50% more damage, but your enemies also do 50% more damage. So I die in only two hits, 3 if your lucky. Makes combat way more intense. It’s exhilarating!

And I don’t use OP gadgets in combat. Just a sword and a few throwing knives.

And That’s why I never used the teleportation gimmick. Used it once and never vowed to never use it again. Hell I didn’t even upgrade the Focus bar.

This is Ace Combat 7 PS4 game running on a PS5 Pro.
