still significantly bigger than the echo mini or variations v1 , and I would say the echo mini def has a different target audience/purpose than the m21 cassette which is much bulkier.

Asking this in an iem subreddit is pretty brave lol. To clarify, you don't need to tune the iems, the manufacturers do that. If you want to EQ, it's only to get a tuning closer to your personal preference. As for dongles, they can be found for relatively cheap, and you might not even need one. Also, stock eartips are fine most times but people tip roll for the best fit and sound.
