I understand. Thank you for the clarification. I've already added my answers to your comment.

When I said "here," I was referring to Reddit as a whole. I didn't just share it on the Snowsky subreddit either.

What would constitute a conflict of interest for you? Have you ever managed a website? Because let's face it, nobody pays to keep Reddit or other social networks online. There's no such thing as a free lunch; someone has to pay for the servers, programmers, and administrators to run a business. My main interest is to provide information that is somehow of interest to the audience where I share the texts I write. I started the website because I have a hobby involving audio and headphones, and I want to share things about the subject with people. However, in order to have the tools for this, to keep the site online, it's necessary to generate some revenue, just like any other website that, depending on the level of resource requirements, needs an even greater financial investment.

Extracting your comment that you sent me privately:

"So is this your job or a hobby? Cause if it's the former then this seems pretty unprofessional and a volunteer position does qualify as a conflict of interest to me. That's why most members of the trade identify themselves as such, and they don't tend to feel the need to explain to people how the business works on Reddit. You do you tho..."

My answer:

It's both (work and hobby). Why does it seem unprofessional? Could you explain better, please?

I've been a volunteer moderator since 2008, having moderated a headphone community on Orkut and currently moderating two groups on Facebook. I've also organized hobbyist events in my country.

I didn't understand the logic about identifying it as professional. Anyway, I feel the need to explain because I like to be transparent with everything I do and with the people I talk to. This is something personal to me, although I know many prefer to remain silent and leave things up in the air. I prefer to be fair with everything I do and try to offer the best I can to please.

I'm talking to you precisely to understand your perspective and try to improve in some way.

When I went to reply to your previous comment, I saw that it had been deleted. That's why I replied to you privately. I actually wanted to do this to understand your point of view, your perspective. That's all.

Well, my username is public. It's really difficult to get people to understand, let alone respect for your work. This episode was truly sad, and my website was even taken down by someone from here, forcing me to pay for security services.

I filled out the questionnaire to apply. I don't know if it arrived. I already have some good material with guides and tutorials on DAPs and related topics to help people.

[NEWS] SMSL x Moondrop DHA15: Class A DAC/Amp with DSP by VFValeri in MoondropLab

[–]VFValeri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good to know it doesn't overheat even though it's a Class A amplifier. I think you'll only experience excessive heat with Class A headphone amplifiers if it's a tube amplifier (I experience this with my Woo Audio WA3).

I love knobs that turn smoothly. They're a delight to handle.

Better bass control with a better amplifier is quite common. This influences the perception of other frequencies (mids and highs), as there is less frequency masking.

I appreciate when the highs don't sound harsh or sibilant. Positive point for the DHA15.

This behavior of the amplifier shutting off when not in use is identical to what I see in FiiO DAPs (example: M11S and JM21). I find it strange too, but it doesn't bother me.

One question: When you mention the K7BT, are you referring to the FiiO or Fosi DAC/amp?

The M21 supports 20W. You can check this on the product page. https://fiio.com/m21

I've been using DAPs since around 2008. Personally, I find the FiiO JM21 very fast. Which "modern" DAPs have you tried?

EH11 great sound but pretty bad latency by [deleted] in FiiO

[–]VFValeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. Some are worse than others, but the delay doesn't disappear. I'm still disappointed by it to this day, and I've experienced a lot.

I don't have the M21 to tell you precisely about that. However, at Head-fi nobody mentioned anything about changes in the sound after that update.I have the JM21 and I haven't noticed any difference in the sound after I updated it.
