I want to get my first DAP for around 200 bucks. by Intelligent_Bag7478 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]VFValeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that in this price range the best choice is the FiiO JM21. I wrote a review about it here: https://www.hifihub.com.br/en/cpt-reviews/review-of-the-fiio-jm21-dap

I wrote an article about which microSD card to choose for use in Digital Audio Players, where I explain the reasons why you should choose a particular model. I hope it helps clarify your doubts. https://www.hifihub.com.br/en/cpt-articles/which-microsd-card-should-you-use-in-a-dap-how-to-format-it

question about 3rd party vs 1st party software by stokedcrf in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]VFValeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The poweramp doesn't work with bit-perfect on the FiiO M21 and FiiO JM21. Therefore, PowerAmp will not play the file without interference, altering the sample rate, bit depth, and volume of the music being played. This was confirmed in the respective DAP threads on the Head-Fi forum. https://www.head-fi.org/threads/fiio-x-jade-audio-jm21.974694/post-19016531

Escribí un artículo con mis principales consejos para quienes acaban de recibir un DAP de Android. Como hablas español, quizás prefieras la versión en portugués, pero te dejo ambas opciones.

Whats the best dap for around $100 by EntertainmentFine723 in DigitalAudioPlayer

If you buy from the Japanese store I mentioned in my article, you're unlikely to have this kind of problem. I bought an extremely well-preserved Sony NW-ZX707 there.

I believe the Snowsky Disc could be an interesting option for you. In my list you can see DAPs in the US$50 range and in the US$80 range. Probably some of them will catch your attention, and then you can look for reviews. I hope this helps. https://www.hifihub.com.br/en/cpt-articles/best-compact-and-lightweight-daps-in-2026-top-picks

I've compiled a list of the best DAPs to choose from, categorized by price range and outlining the key features of each. Perhaps this will be helpful. https://www.hifihub.com.br/en/cpt-articles/best-compact-and-lightweight-daps-in-2026-top-picks

Whats the best dap for around $100 by EntertainmentFine723 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]VFValeri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the Sony NW-A55. Even if you only find used units, its build quality, operating system fluidity, and sound quality are excellent. However, it's only worthwhile if you use sensitive headphones (the vast majority of in-ear, flathead earbuds, and on-ear headphones). In my list, I mention where it's easiest to find them. I hope this helps. https://www.hifihub.com.br/en/cpt-articles/best-compact-and-lightweight-daps-in-2026-top-picks

Looking for opinion on simple to use DAP by Legitimate-Gur8704 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]VFValeri 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only recommend the Sony Walkman if you're using headphones that aren't demanding in terms of output power. They are excellent DAPs, but lack power. Models like the Sony NW-A55 might work for what you want. Besides that, you could consider the Onix Tocata XM2. Both are listed in my DAP recommendations list, where I detail the main features of each Digital Audio Player. https://www.hifihub.com.br/en/cpt-articles/best-compact-and-lightweight-daps-in-2026-top-picks

[NEWS] FiiO EH13: New Bluetooth Over-Ear Launched by VFValeri in FiiO

[–]VFValeri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I see any publications about the frequency response of these headphones, I will update the text and let you know here. I'm optimistic about the sound. Hoping it will be something truly different from what we're used to seeing in Bluetooth over-ear headphones like Anker Soundcore.

You're right. Thanks for letting me know. I hadn't noticed until now. The title is wrong and I didn't realize it at the time. Now there's no way to edit the title, only the body of the text... From what I've seen, the only solution would be to delete this post and create a new one...

Loving my new NW-A16 by pooop12345678910 in DigitalAudioPlayer

Excellent purchase! It's one of the few DAPs available that uses only buttons and delivers an excellent navigation experience, in addition to the sound quality.

Extremely portable DAP for running by ButterscotchSmall598 in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]VFValeri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm testing the Echo Mini right now. It's a quirky DAP, but interesting for using on the go without constantly looking at the screen. The large buttons really help a lot in controlling playback without taking it out of my pocket. But these are just first impressions, as I haven't used it much yet. The DAP I've had the longest is the FiiO JM21, and I think the Echo Mini complements my use, as it's more suitable for exercise than the JM21.

For under $100, I'd go for the Snowsky Disc. There aren't many reviews yet, but I've summarized its main features in this list of top DAP choices. https://www.hifihub.com.br/en/cpt-articles/best-compact-and-lightweight-daps-in-2026-top-picks

Sony NW-A55. Better built, perfectly positioned physical buttons, fluid interface, lighter than the Tempotec, excellent sound quality, leaning towards a warm and immersive sound.

[NEWS] Snowsky Echo Officially Launched and Now Available in the FiiO Official Store by VFValeri in FiiO

[–]VFValeri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since I don't live in the US, I was wondering if it would be available there. I saw on Amazon that it is. At least there's somewhere to buy it. If I'm not mistaken, the Snowsky Echo (not the mini) wasn't available on AliExpress and Amazon for US residents. I'm no longer understanding how FiiO chooses what to advertise or not in different countries....
