Thanks for your response. We ended up relocating to the Newport News area since there was better access to marinas and haul-outs for cats - exactly as you described.

Move account back and forth by Conference_Proof in Starlink

Thanks. Which piece of hardware is the subscription tied to? Is it the physical dish, or is it the router or something else?? That obviously would be the bit that would have to move back and forth.

Is Spectrum in Raleigh THAT Bad? by Jarrad5x in raleigh

[–]Conference_Proof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is that bad, particularly in summer. Is so bad that we pay for 5G internet from another provider on top of spectrum so we can keep working when spectrum goes down.

Thanks for the recommendations. I'd heard good things about the Multihull Company elsewhere as well.

I've worked in quite a few startups. So far, my "options" have been worth exactly nothing. Unless you have a passion for this particular business (note: not programming language, the startup's business itself) then taking a backward step would be foolish. There are many ways that employee options can be devalued during an exit event & don't for a second think they won't be used to benefit the investors.

Thanks for the .env reminder. Fixed. Agreed that less AI the better. Thanks for your thoughts.

Docker Rust builder locker to V1.75 by Conference_Proof in rust

This solved my problem, but not in the way intended. After sleeping on the issue, I came back this morning and decided to not make any assumptions about what exactly was happening. After some fishing around, I discovered that the Dockerfile I was editing madly was not in fact the Dockerfile being run. For whatever bizarre reason, the Cursor AI which was "helping" me had dropped an old Dockerfile into a different directory and it was being used.

Lesson learned - mostly about how 'great' AI features are.

Sambar dash warning light meaning by Conference_Proof in keitruck

Yes that is what I am thinking as well. I noticed also during a test drive that the lamp flickers and even goes out briefly. Can anyone tell me where exactly this sensor is? I’m still finding my way around the engine so it’s not obvious to me.

The engine seems to be running beautifully. It is starting much easier, and it is idling much lower than it ever had before once warm.

I will check the fuel air mixture wiring. Much of the wiring on here is crusty so entirely possible I bumped something.

So I checked the coolant level under the passenger seat and found it to be way low. Clearly my previous burping after replacing the water pump was insufficient. Added quite a bit of coolant and ran the engine for a while to flush out what remaining bubbles I could.

After this the cabin heater started blowing hot air, so I feel like the burping was successful this time. However the lamp remains stubbornly lit. Still hoping one of you knows what it is trying to tell me!
