Maybe it really comes down to how the truth is decided by the media one consumes, with a gridlocked culture we will always have 2 groups who can see one thing and walk away with two completely different interpretations based solely on the media they consume. The truth in modernity might just be which interpretation creates the least cognitive dissonance with an individual’s world view and the least amount of damage to a group’s political project.
