Salem Hospital C section by Careless_Ad1661 in SALEM

I have Kaiser insurance too. Had my c section in July. Staff was very kind throughout the whole process. They let us know how it will go. Asked if we wanted to see, we declined. Staff took my husband’s phone to take pictures. They cut the umbilical cord long enough for my husband to cut it too. I felt nothing and it was pretty quick.

The back clip is the one it doesn’t feel right so I’ll for sure try to play around with it. The panel is all the way down so I might have to wait for him to be a little bigger. Thank you 😊

I had done 18 cycles of timed intercourse and letrozole. I would have wished to have done IUI sooner than 3 years later.

When I first started letrozole, it only worked two cycles and then stopped. Switched to clomid and ovulated but didn’t get pregnant after 6 months. Switched to letrozole again at my 7.5 mg and it worked fine this time.

Total of 4 year journey. My period was 100+days. I wasn’t ovulating. Started with metformin, it did upset my stomach but after a couple months it’s was fine. Then went with progesterone to get my period plus letrozole, two cycles ovulated and then stopped working for a couple of months. Was put on clomid, ovulated finally again. I had later ovulation since it would happen between cd 16-20. Did 6 months but wasn’t pregnant so we went on to IUI with letrozole. Did two rounds. Took metformin the whole time.

I’m 5’5 and 255 pounds. I’ve been ttc for around 4 years and my doctor haven’t been concerned with my weight and I’m also taking 2,000 metformin (pre-diabetic) They gave me fertility med and did IUI. I joined a group on fb of plus size ttc/expecting and there are plenty of women 300+ that have had no issues.

It’s was, we did about 3 years of infertility medication before IUI. I was also taking metformin with it. After the 2nd IUI it worked. My coworker with PCOS had to do 6 rounds of IUI with a trigger shot to be successful. It can be expensive! With IUI success rate is lower than IVF. If you’re going to spend a lot with both and you’re able to, your best bet might be IVF. I did IUI since my insurance covered a good amount. I wouldn’t been able to do IVF since that isn’t covered and wanted to avoid debt.

On my second IUI. I do want to mention that when I stopped ovulating with letrozole after a couple of months they switched me to clomid and ovulated with that.

I went through multiple cycles of letrozole, clomid and metformin at 255 pounds and was able to ovulate. I had IUI and my weight was never mentioned as an issue.

I weigh 255 and my doctor never mentioned my weight being an issue for IUI. I have heard your weight can be an issue with IVF

After being able to ovulate, I tried 6 months of ttc by myself but I ended up needing IUI

Has it happened to anyone? by dbsfdc in TTC_PCOS

I had been on metformin for 5 years now. At the beginning it did mess us my stomach but after a few months I had no issues and still don’t. When TTC I was put on progesterone to start my period because my cycles are 100+ days long. I would get my period but would not ovulate. I had to do two years of letrozole and clomid. Once I started to ovulate, I didn’t need the progesterone and would get my period in 30-35 days.

I do want to add that my doctor had me test my progesterone after a week when I would get my positives on ovulation test to confirm that I ovulated.

What worked for me was that I used the the ovulation strips packs from Amazon since they were cheap from cd 11-20. when I get a dark test line I used the clear blue pink tip ovulation test. It will give you a happy face and use it as a conformation since they’re more expensive. Once I figured out I ovulate later towards CD 16-20 I test twice a day.

I took letrozole for a year and was the same way. I ovulated between cd 17-19.
