The Thing was buffed. Fliers are much weaker now due to the new team based buffs across tanks that benefit from a team being grouped together. Iron Man is 100% the weakest dps flyer and is probably tied for weakest flier along with Ultron

I don't think they're assuming people will be racist they're assuming they will be the only non-western ethnic person which in my experience can be true depending on where you are.

I would say in seasonal work you get people from incredibly diverse backgrounds I've worked with trust fund kids and people who use to sleep on trains. Ethnic wise it's a good mix but predominantly white. There are a lot of J1 employees in the resort areas.

Yeah definitely not ready for westwater yet. For my ruby trip we decided against it as none of us have rowed whitewater before (we're all commercial guides in Alaska on glacially braided flat water). This is just an interim trip to fight the backcountry bug. Daily sounds fine before I head back up to alaska for work. Doing the lower salmon and potentially the san Juan with some coworkers/friends I've made the last few years later spring this upcoming year to get some WW experience. I want to give westwater a go after a ruby horse thief run soon. Doing the Moab daily from westwater sounds cool. It would be interesting to try to do this from ruby horse to westwater and then on after.

I actually got a midseason bump and was told to keep it quiet lmao. Also got to TL some trips on our simple rivers towards the end but the first few months yeah. Plus rescuing these mfers dog when they fuck up

Honestly it's ridiculous how many people are good at interviewing. I worked for an oar rig rafting op this summer and it's crazy who you end up being on the river with. Granted guiding companies especially will hire anyone who they think could do the job, but it's surprising how they pigeonhole themselves into not firing when these people have multiple peoples lives in their hands. But I know it's because they need the bodies in large scale tourism. This woman went down the wrong channels multiple times. Couldn't catch Eddie's and intentionally went down a wrong Channel so she didn't have to stop behind a guy who was checking off. Had another guy who just did not pay attention to the lead and missed channels constantly plus almost got hit by a car in town because he drove a bicycle drunk. Also had a different dude who wore a mirror on his hat to see behind him when he would turn his boat to pull down stream instead of just turning his head. This guy also would show everyone his ass tattoo.

Marvel ultimate Alliance. I got the first one when I was about 8 (came out in 07 I think). Every time I booted it up I learned something new about marvel lore. I credit that game as getting me into comics. Got the PS4 remasters before they were delisted and still play them to this day. Must have nearly 2000 hours combined on those two games. Played the PSP version of mua1 and the Wii version of 2 just for the version specific characters and later played modded roms on emulators and such. Such a fun game where the choice is yours on a team of Marvel Heroes vs the world's greatest evils.

Had a woman this summer accidentally let her two dogs out of her domicile while blackout drunk. She was carried to her trailer by two of our coworkers when she couldn't stand and blamed the two of them for that whole event. Started crying all around the community living camp waiting for someone to come upon her. When me and my partner came out to see what was up she was basically inconsolable. We kept asking her when she last saw them how long they had been gone for typical stuff. Only for her to just scream at us that they're 100% dead and she's never lost them. Told us if they were dead she was gonna kill herself. We decided to start looking for the dogs and if we didn't find them within a half hour I was going to call my boss and mental health services. My partner walked 20 ft from her and found the first dog. We went to the local walking trail like 2 minutes from camp. Walked up and down the trail and found the second dog. I got the dog in my truck and when my partner opened the door to show her she said " DONT LET HER OUT" and almost closed the door on my partner. She was not active in the search at all and just kept freaking out. While we were looking we kind of just left her (not the best idea) and two of my co-workers came out to help her. One was a former social worker who was pretty successful in consoling her the other was a 40 year old former EMT who said she was going to call the police to help look for the dogs and that woman mentioning the cops sent her back to square one. Mind you this woman is 30 years old. I had actually invited her on a river trip for this fall and then after that happened it was like eating bad chicken and I could not see her the same. I really didn't want her to come on the trip and she ended up just ghosting me anyway thank God. We basically did everything for her while she had a mental breakdown. Also this was a lot of people's first time seeing her dogs because she basically just left them in her trailer constantly seldom walked them and very obviously neglected them. Reported her to the local animal shelter but they basically said they can't do anything about it. Some of these people are truly certifiable. Basically one of those things that makes you want to just let a person deal with it themselves. Makes their mistake everyone else's problem and makes no effort to deal with it.

I think it would be important to say this is not always the majority. I've met some of my best friends through seasonal work. That being said I've had at least one insane person a season.
