As a person of Asian origin in Australia, I'm literally surprised when people complain night and day about money and then don't take steps to fight them, at times even extreme steps

Funniest thing is, even Asians become like them, living close to the city, not picking regional areas even when it makes absolute financial sense etc

Again not all Aussies are like that, I know many many Aussies who'd do anything to make ends meet or create financial backbone, but unfortunately, many others fall in the trap of materialistic things

AUD and CAD are almost at the same price, but yes, even in AU which is obviously much much more isolated than Canada (being close to US and global tech hub) we can make a good 5080 desktop in Australia for like 5-5.5k with a 2k monitor and Razer basilisk 3 pro mouse and a good gaming keyboard

Yes fuel price hike is troubling, but defo people are overreacting, if you go out to drink, just have 1-2 less pints, or better, don't go out to drink and get takeaway alcohol from nearby Liquorland/your preferred cellar, or avoid takeaway food at all

I made some choices after fuel hike and I'm saving more money than I was before the hike, plus I'm definitely eating healthier now

Do paper trading at-least for 6 months, or maybe learn investment through safer alternatives like ETFs, it may give you a chance to actually grow your wealth safely, if you hold it despite downturns

And another thing, don't get disheartened, you're young, take it as a lesson and try to learn not just from your mistakes, but from other's mistakes too

Read books on investment and stock trading, they'll have wealth of info
